About me

I look after all things travel, culture, and London at Homes & Gardens and Livingetc. I'm always on the look out for exciting exhibitions, cultural happenings, and the most beautiful and design-forward hotel openings across the world.

My specialist subjects

I live for travel and art, with a particular interest in cultural travel and international museums and design spaces. I studied Art History while at university, and before joining H&G I worked as a visual arts journalist.

My favourite places to shop

For a modern design hit there’s really nowhere better than Aram. For classic pieces, David Linley and William & Son are fabulous. I also love pouring over auction catalogues, looking out for a bargain in the design and prints & multiples sales.

The designers that inspire me

My art heroes are Barbara Hepworth, Tracey Emin, and Louise Bourgeois. I also am a huge fan of studio ceramics, and adore the work of the 20th century ceramicists Hans Coper and Ruth Duckworth. When it comes to interiors, I’m always enthusiastic about John Pawson’s minimalism and Axel Vervoordt’s art-led spaces. And Architects Tadao Ando and David Chipperfield create the best buildings in the business – in my opinion!

My decorating style

I like a clean, mid-century look set off with post-war and contemporary art. My flat is also full of my collection of studio ceramics by makers such as Bodil Manz, Matthew Chambers, and William Martin.
