Katrina is a lifestyle writer and editor and looks after food, entertaining, sleep and wellness content at Homes & Gardens. She started her career writing about farming and environmental science for Defra's internal magazine, Landscape, before becoming features writer at Sainsbury's magazine, where she covered homes, fashion and beauty, real life, celebrity interviews and diary pages. After five years, Katrina took the plunge into freelancing, during which time she wrote for Ideal Home, The Evening Standard Homes & Property, Boots Health & Beauty, Waitrose Food, Tesco magazine and Asda magazine, and acted as Deputy Editor on John Lewis' Edition, as well as for a collection of monthly regional glossies, also called Edition. Katrina joins Homes & Gardens from her previous role as Herts & Beds Editor of luxury lifestyle platform, Muddy Stilettos, where she created local content and managed social channels, contributed to national campaigns and ran the annual local lifestyle business awards. She's also written about beautiful, storied homes for online platform, The Home Page. Katrina lives in Hertfordshire with her husband and two children in a 100-year old cottage, which she is passionate about putting her stamp on.
