Game rooms are one of the most fun and interesting spaces to decorate in a home. The purpose of play allows these spaces to be extra whimsical, but there also needs to be some balance with the seriousness of the rest of the home.

In their California mansion, 'The Tropics,' Justin and Hailey Bieber struck this perfect equilibrium. Shared by Justin on Instagram, the couple's game room features Martinique banana leaf wallpaper (like this peel-and-stick variety from Wayfair), a neon sign in blue, and lots of light Scandinavian wood. Recessed lighting and an art deco bar help to match the elevated feel of their larger property.

It's a masterclass in how to combine glamour with laid-back California style for a fun spin on both looks.

Furthermore, entertaining spaces like Justin and Hailey's will only grow more popular this year. Josh Branigan, a Furniture and Home Interiors Expert at furniture retailer bedkingdom states: 'With more of us looking for ways to spend less time on our phones, 2027 will be the year of "analogue" spaces designed for reading, board games and conversation. It doesn't have to be a whole room. A comfortable armchair, a footstool and a well-stocked bookcase can turn a quiet corner into a place to properly unwind.'

These are our editors' picks for a game room that feels as elegant yet inviting as Justin and Hailey's.

For anyone hoping to bring Justin and Hailey's look to life, art deco elements, like their bar, are the key to elevating the more casual parts of the room. Luckily, this look is growing more popular than ever.

Michael Jackson, Head of Design at bespoke lighting company, Northern Lights states: 'Over the last few years, minimalism gave us the restraint and calm we needed, particularly during a period marked by uncertainty and global instability. Our interiors became sanctuaries – quiet, pared-back and intentionally unobtrusive. But, as confidence returns, so does the desire for spaces that feel optimistic, expressive and bold. There’s now a clear appetite for interiors with a heightened presence – and Neodeco answers that mood shift. This trend was never about nostalgia, but more about refinement and drama.'

He adds: 'We’ve seen a 15% increase in Neo Deco lighting briefs from interior designers towards the end of 2025, and this is forecast to grow further in 2026, cementing its shift from emerging aesthetic to defining direction.'

To bring the look in your home, it's important to focus on drama and visual impact. Michael advises: 'Materials previously used as accents are becoming architectural statements in their own right, and symmetry and repetition are re-emerging in a more disciplined, modern way. Red marble bathrooms and antique bar carts highlight a return to theatricality, and leather banquettes and metallic finishes add tactility and depth to spaces.'

The best homes are not just one thing; they combine multiple styles. When these looks are married perfectly, they create a unique portrait of the people who live in the home.

As we settle into the colder months, you may be thinking about bringing your outdoor furniture inside. Not so fast! With the right colors and design, your patio can be the perfect outdoor refuge until late November.

Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber provided the perfect blueprint with their gorgeous gray and white outdoor living room.

The covered patio is full of warmth, from the velvet armchairs to the textured sofa (similar to this cozy style from Wayfair). A concrete coffee table helps to ground the space in the neutral way it blends into the ground stones. A fireplace and TV turn the space into a cozy yet elegant escape.

The couple's patio furniture demonstrates that it's possible to design an outdoor space for all seasons (especially if you live somewhere warm), so that the look never feels too summery.

So, what makes Justin and Hailey's outdoor space work so well? A huge part of the seasonless beauty of their patio is their outdoor furniture color. The natural shade is the ideal combination of with the greenery outside.

Mike Durbridge, CEO of Andrew Martin explains: 'Gray outdoor furniture with a minimalistic design offers a sleek, modern look that’s visually calming and stylish. In outdoor spaces, its understated tones blend effortlessly with the natural surroundings, allowing the beauty of the landscape to take centre stage.'

Luckily, their technique is easy to recreate. He advises: 'Creating cozy corners is about adding softness and invitation without fuss. Layer soft wool throws and weather-resistant cushions on classic steel-framed chairs or benches to bring warmth and comfort. Thoughtful furniture arrangements encourage lingering conversations and moments of calm, transforming outdoor spaces into intimate retreats.'

The chicest homes use hallways not as a transition point, but as a site of design all their own. They are home to art, color, pattern, and warmth.

This balance can be more difficult to strike in open-plan homes, but Justin and Hailey Bieber nailed the technique in their former Beverly Hills home.

Justin captured the hallway between their kitchen and living room on his Instagram, highlighting the equilibrium between natural wood and bright, pop art sculptures. A shelved sideboard divides the two rooms and is home to numerous KAWS figurines (like these from 1stDibs).

Whether your style is contemporary like Justin and Hailey's or more traditional, keeping everything neutral except the art is an excellent way to make your hallway pop. No matter if you have an open or closed layout, it works.

The first piece to invest in if you want to recreate this method of decorating with art, is a set of horizontal shelves, or a sideboard.

You could select one the same color as your floors like Justin and Hailey, or opt for a darker wood to create a touch of textural contrast. Design expert Shelley Cochrane explains: 'First impressions count, and as hallways are often the first room we see as we enter our homes, it's important that the hallway makes an impact.'

She continues: 'If space allows, a sideboard with beautifully styled accessories or planters will help to seamlessly tie in this room with the rest of the home, whilst providing helpful storage to conceal everyday items.'

Recreate Hailey and Justin's Look at Home

These are our editors picks for recreating the look, from display pieces to the cozy gray furnishings in the living room. All together, they paint a gorgeous picture.

As the cobalt blue and bright yellow artworks in Hailey and Justin's hall demonstrate, a hallway is the perfect place to experiment with these bold statement shades.

'An unexpected combination of primary hues – think sunshine yellow combined with sky blue and striking red – offers a mood-enhancing effect that works well in every room, from the kitchen to the living room, but perhaps especially in the hallway,' advises Shelley.

For a more traditional take on the look, she recommends: 'To style this space, combine a mid-century-inspired wooden sideboard with a modern color palette of lively reds. Display an eclectic selection of vases or ceramics while a canvas or tapestry adds a final flourish of artistry. Bonus points if it’s your own work!'

Finally, part of what works so well in Justin and Hailey's California property is the use of wood-drenching across the floors and furniture. You can easily recreate this look with accessories.

Georgia Metcalfe, Design Expert & Creative Director at French Bedroom, states: 'Incorporating natural materials such as wooden lamps into your lighting design not only enhances the aesthetic but also introduces a sense of warmth and natural beauty to any room. The organic textures and tones of wood create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making rooms feel more comfortable and lived-in.'

The hallway is an unexpected place to embrace your style, and you will always be grateful for building this into your design.

Chrome hardware has gained popularity for lighting and kitchens over the past few years, and now, it's landing in the bathroom. The shiny, modern look is eye-catching and bold, perfect for the homeowner who wants to make a statement.

Justin and Hailey Bieber are just this kind of homeowner, having tapped into the chrome look long before it became a trend with their silver bathtub (similar to the Dorset soaking tub from Wayfair). Shared to Justin's Instagram, the chrome piece looks stunningly contemporary next to their large windows, and then is grounded by white walls. Its so elevated and unique.

Though not everyone will go so bold with their chrome decor, Justin and Hailey Bieber's bathroom idea offers insight into the future, where silver decor will be absolutely everywhere.

Bathroom trend reports for 2027 show chrome decor coming in as a top look. For instance, luxury vintage and antiques retailer 1stDibs reports that search interest in chrome furniture has more than doubled this year.

Mike Manders, Design Expert and CEO at Haddon explains: 'Chrome is experiencing a notable resurgence in bathroom design. This material is appreciated for its timeless, clean, and polished finish. After several years where warmer metals like brass and bronze dominated bathrooms, chrome is making a strong comeback thanks to its versatility and ability to complement a wide range of styles.'

As Justin and Hailey's bathroom shows, the material is also more versatile than one might assume, fitting in well with a range of styles.

'It offers a crisp contrast against natural materials such as stone and wood, enhancing both classic and contemporary interiors,' continues Mike. 'Its reflective quality also helps to brighten spaces, making bathrooms feel fresh. For those seeking a finish that combines elegance with practicality, chrome remains a consistently reliable choice.'

Recreate Justin and Hailey's Look at Home

Whether you opt for full on chrome interiors or just a few accents, Homes & Gardens has you covered. These are our editors' picks for adding the trend to your bathroom this season.

If you are hoping to make a true statement, following Justin and Hailey Bieber's bathtub idea might be your best bet. A chrome bathtub may be expensive, but it will make the ultimate bold declaration of style.

Mike states: 'The bathtub is the crown jewel of the bathroom and probably the biggest investment when renovating this space, so this purchase should be very carefully considered.'

He advises: 'A freestanding bath is the ultimate statement of luxurious design and relaxation, creating a tranquil focal point that invites quiet indulgence. If space allows, there is no better way to instantly elevate the entire room.'

In addition to the finish, it's important to consider the shape of your bathtub. As Justin and Hailey's freestanding design demonstrates, a curved, freestanding design is utterly gorgeous. Mike states: 'The style of the bathtub should set the tone for the overall design of your bathroom and will ultimately depend on your personal taste. You may prefer a timeless, heritage-inspired design for classic charm or choose a sleek, curved and symmetrical form for contemporary sophistication. Either way, the bathtub will set the tone for the rest of the space and should feel in keeping with the style of the basins, fixtures and fittings within the space.'

Integrating chrome, whether it's through your bathtub or just a small tray is the surest way to add chicness to your home in 2027.

The secret to making an open-plan layout look welcoming is thoughtful zoning. This method breaks a cavernous interior up into distinct areas for living, dining, and cooking, creating cozy containment in each smaller space. For a guide on this technique, look no further than Justin and Hailey Bieber's former Beverly Hills home.

Back in 2020, Justin took to Instagram to share a glimpse into the living room of the couple's modern Monterey Colonial-style home on Tropical Avenue, affectionately known as 'The Tropics.' Two gray shag rugs define separate areas for eating and hanging out. On the other side of the room, a white kitchen island sets apart the cooking area with a casual dining bar defined by chic barstools (similar to these elevated Linen Seats from Saks Fifth Avenue).

Though Justin and Hailey sold the home in late 2021, their clever kitchen/dining room/living room set-up still stands as the pinnacle of warm zoning inspiration for the coming year. Their living room layout proves that when designed with intention, open plan will never go out of style.

So, how can you tap into the lessons from Hailey and Justin's California space in your own home? The biggest pitfall of open plan designs is that they can feel cold, so the room must be designed to invite warmth at every turn. Martin Waller, Founder of global design house Andrew Martin advises, 'Open-plan spaces are increasingly popular and are great for entertaining, but can sometimes feel sparse or empty.'

He recommends: 'Use contrasting colors to demarcate distinct spaces and inject personality into different areas of the room. Choose darker colors to create intimacy in a dining area and opt for neutral shades to make kitchens appear brighter. Wallpaper can also be used in certain areas of the space to create a distinct zone.' We see this advice playing out in the Biebers' gray rugs on their wooden floors.

Natural materials and cozy textures bring warmth into the distinct zones of Justin and Hailey's living room. These are our editors' picks for recreating their look.

The industrial lighting above Justin and Hailey's dining table helps set this area apart. Living room lighting can be used in a similar manner. Martin advises: 'Use statement lighting to create different zones, that each have a purpose. Hang pendant lighting over dining areas and use task lamps in corners of the room to create cozy areas for reading.'

Separate areas can also be created more deliberately. 'Open furniture, such as cabinets, bookcases, or shelving can be used to create different zones, without making the space feel closed in,' says Martin. 'Alternatively, a folding screen can provide privacy, something that is often lacking in open plan living.'

Finally, the two gray rugs create a distinction between dining room and living room in Justin and Hailey's home. Jodie Hatton, Design Manager at heritage carpet company Brintons advises replicating this technique. She states: 'We strongly believe that rugs are timeless and continue to be relevant due to their versatility and ability to transform a space. Whether used as statement pieces or subtle accents, rugs offer flexibility in design and function. They can define areas within open-plan spaces, add warmth to hard flooring, or introduce a pop of color and texture to any room.'

Open plan layouts haven't died, they've simply evolved to be more textured and characterful.

Cream is the unexpected hero of the neutral color family. Layered with plenty of texture and natural light, this shade can feel surprisingly inviting and cozy for autumn.

Hailey and Justin Bieber demonstrate exactly how to bring a monochromatic cream living room to life in their Beverly Park home. Their textured space features a beige Dune Sofa by Pierre Paulin (a modular sectional from Wayfair is a great way to recreate the look), a round travertine side table, and a cream shearling teddy bear chair. The limewashed walls and cream floors emphasize the sense that every element of the room is connected.

Though a monochromatic color scheme can feel clinical in other contexts, here the cream swath is like a welcoming cocoon.

As Hailey and Justin's space shows, the first step for grounding a cream space is selecting a gorgeous, sculptural living room sofa.

New York-based Interior Designer Nina Lichtenstein explains: 'The cream couch has long been a symbol of sophistication and versatility in interior design. Its subtle elegance and neutral tone make it a mainstay in living rooms across styles, from minimalist and contemporary to rustic and traditional. While trends come and go, the cream couch endures as a timeless anchor piece, adaptable to an array of design schemes. Its soft hue and understated luxury offer a perfect foundation for personalization, allowing it to seamlessly fit into both trendy and classic interiors.'

Recreate Justin and Hailey's Look at Home

Decorating with all cream can be difficult, so we're following the blueprint Justin and Hailey laid out to simplify it. These are our editors picks for replicating their look.

This minimalist living room relies on sculptural furnishings to draw the eye around the space. Luckily, this effect is simple to recreate.

Nina advises: 'In spaces where simplicity and clean lines reign, a cream couch offers an airy, serene quality. Its neutral tone complements the uncluttered aesthetic, making it ideal for minimalist designs. Paired with sleek furniture and a few well-chosen accessories, the cream sofa acts as a focal point without overwhelming the room.'

Furthermore, as Justin and Hailey's space also demonstrates, the most important technique for keeping a cream scheme interesting is layering. Rather than just letting the pretty sofa speak for itself, they add in a variety of other textures. 'Styling around a cream couch requires a thoughtful approach to layering textures, colors, and accessories to keep the space from feeling too bland or one-dimensional,' explains Nina.

She continues: 'One of the easiest ways to add visual interest to a cream couch is by layering different textures. Pair it with throw blankets made of chunky knits, faux fur, or linen for a rich, tactile experience. Adding velvet or leather cushions can further elevate the look, providing a luxurious feel while breaking up the simplicity of the cream fabric.'

Finally, the natural light in Justin and Hailey's space makes it feel warm and inviting. If you don't have large windows or live in a sunny area, a similar effect can be accomplished with lamps. Nina recommends: 'Lighting can completely transform the look of a cream couch. Opt for warm, ambient lighting to enhance the cream’s inviting quality. Floor lamps, pendant lights, or sconces in warm metals like brass or copper will cast a flattering glow, adding dimension and softness to the overall space.'

Justin and Hailey's living room is evidence that 'monochrome' doesn't have to look flat or boring; with the right styling it can be one of the coziest and most welcoming, artistic options.

Hailey and Justin Bieber seamlessly dictate trends across fashion, beauty, and now, interior design. As late summer gives way to an early autumn home refresh in 2026 (and looking ahead to 2027), their latest unexpected trend is taking over – 'invisible' living room storage.

Far from sci-fi technology, the couple's living room storage idea is simply exceptionally discreet, blending effortlessly into bright, white-hued walls. While conventional living room setups rely on open shelving to display possessions, these sleek cabinets keep clutter entirely out of sight.

Although displaying curated items has its charm, Justin and Hailey's understated choice offers a cleaner alternative that designers are eagerly embracing for late 2026. 'The utilization of discreet, almost 'invisible' cabinets is akin to the magic of a well-tailored suit. It fits impeccably without drawing attention to its own construction,' says New York-based designer Artem Kropovinsky.

'This approach allows the home's architecture and the homeowner's personality to take center stage, resulting in an elegant, uncluttered aesthetic.'

Shop the Bieber-Inspired Edit

Though this seamless approach suits any interior style, Artem highlights its particular value in urban dwellings, such as their Manhattan apartment, where space comes at a premium during any season. 'In cities, 'invisible' cabinets offer a clever way to store items without consuming visual real estate. This gives the illusion of more open, airy space, enhancing the overall room dimensions,' he explains.

Opting for hidden storage ideas naturally reduces decorative shelf space, but it allows key seasonal accents to take center stage. 'When you minimize the presence of storage solutions, you offer an opportunity for your cherished objects and art pieces to truly shine,' Artem comments. 'It's about mastering the art of showcasing, not overshadowing.'

Beyond visual elegance, invisible storage fosters mental well-being – creating a peaceful retreat as we move into the cozy autumn months.

'We often underestimate the effect our surroundings have on our psyche. An interior with a clean, sleek look achieved through the use of discreet cabinetry can subconsciously foster a sense of calm and order,' he says. 'It's about curating an environment that, at its core, is a sanctuary, a space where you can unwind, free from visual noise.'

As we look through 2026 and beyond, seamless storage is poised to remain a defining design trend – offering a space as effortlessly polished as Justin and Hailey Bieber's.

Minimalist design remains a timeless choice because it is chic, refined, and visually soothing. Whether you are styling a kitchen, bedroom, or living area, a clean aesthetic creates an airy sanctuary – perfect for capturing bright summer sunlight. In 2026, Justin and Hailey Bieber's modern living room stands out as one of the most sophisticated examples of minimalist living room design.

Their secret lies in pairing a quiet, neutral foundation with bold statement pieces. They balance lush potted plants – ideal for bringing vibrant seasonal greenery indoors – with the iconic Paulin Paulin Paulin Dune sofa – an iconic modular piece reminiscent of the '70s conversation pit trend.

Establishing a calm, neutral base is essential for a serene room, serving as a versatile canvas before you introduce dynamic accents.

Shop the Neutral Living Room Edit

'A neutral color palette is best suited to rooms you spend a lot of time in, such as a bedroom or living room, where relaxing tones are key to creating a happy space,' says Lisa Conway, marketing manager at heritage carpet company Brintons.

'Neutrals are versatile with the ability to provide a platform and set the scene. The texture of the carpet is key to preventing a neutral scheme from looking dull. An alternative flooring like wood or tiles can make a room feel stark and bare, whereas a soft woven wool carpet, layered with accessories in cashmere, mohair and linen will all work to soften a look and create an inviting scheme.'

In the Bieber's space, a smooth cream backdrop allows the surrounding furnishings to shine. While light linen layers keep the room feeling fresh for warm weather, subtle details – such as soft dusty curtains and a shell-effect wall sconce – gently draw the eye and add welcoming depth.

Adding an unexpected twist, a metallic silver bench (similar to this one from 1stDibs) rests beside the sofa. Its bulbous silhouette and gleaming finish reflect light beautifully, providing a playful contrast to the organic tones throughout the room. Meanwhile, the gray modular sofa anchors the space, balancing retro curves with contemporary elegance.

Their living room proves that even the most neutral living room can stay dynamic, comfortable, and seasonally versatile with the right blend of textures, shapes, and styles.

A white kitchen always looks good. Regardless of the year, shape, or material, this bright color is proven to make any space appear clean and inviting. However, that doesn’t mean that the classic cannot be improved upon. For instance, Justin and Hailey Bieber’s space gives the traditional look a new, luxurious spin.

The couple took to Instagram to share a video of their adorable sushi-making date, but we were most intrigued by the background that featured their chic white kitchen. Rather than the warm neutrals typically seen in Los Angeles homes, the Biebers have opted for a cooler palette. Their design features white and gray marble countertops that stretch across the backsplash (these classic countertop canisters from Crate & Barrel mimic the look), with warm white cabinets and gold neutrals bringing a slightly cozier feel.

It shows that a white kitchen can still look effortlessly modern, even as interior design trends swing towards more maximalist spaces. So, how do they keep this classic modern white kitchen fresh? We delve into the details of the design.

Recreate Justin and Hailey’s Look:

To enhance the all-white design, the Biebers fill the kitchen space with inviting texture. From the allure of the marble countertops to the rough grain of the cutting board and the sleek black appliances on the work surface, variety pulls the eye around the space. This texture is essential to making a white kitchen work with the current interior design trends, which focus on the importance of warmth, character, and layering.

To emulate Bieber’s look, it is essential to choose each piece of furniture and material carefully, with the overall story in mind. Rather than being minor details, considerations like kitchen hardware and tiling have the potential to truly transform a white kitchen.

It also pays to explore the best off-white paints for your walls and cabinetry, too. Defined by warmer, more colorful undertones, these shades can make all the difference in helping an all-white space still feel inviting.

Though the white kitchen will never go out of style, it’s a look that is constantly under reinvention. Whether you prefer a traditional white kitchen or a more modern style like the Biebers’, integrating a contrasting mix of natural materials and subtle pops of color will only help to make it feel more inviting, stylish and cozy.

Quiet luxury remains one of the most enduring trends we've seen, and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's cozy living room is further proof of the look's staying power.

When the actress shared a photo of her husband in their 'stealth wealth' living room on Instagram, we were immediately impressed by the warm color scheme and mid-century modern decor.

Though the term 'quiet luxury' only surfaced recently, this style has roots in timeless and classic design. Justin and Jessica's space offers important lessons in why the 'old money' look will withstand the test of time, perfect for creating an inviting sanctuary as the fall leaves turn or as we settle into longer, colder evenings.

Shop the quiet luxury living room edit

First, the couple's quiet luxury living room celebrates varied texture above all else – a surefire way to create visual interest and timeless style.

Artem Kropovinsky, NYC-based interior designer and founder of Arsight, states: 'This space is defined by a modern color scheme, rich and tactile finishes, and thoughtful, unique details' that create a serene and luxurious environment.

''Thoughtful use of textures, such as brushed metals or natural materials, contributes to the overall tactile and inviting feel,' adds interior designer Nina Lichtenstein.

She continues, 'Exemplifying these characteristics, this particular living room encapsulates the essence of quiet luxury with its harmonious blend of comfort, functionality, simplicity, a warm neutral color scheme, thoughtful use of textures, and subtle elegance.'

Furthermore, the quiet luxury style of Jessica and Justin's living room is timeless because it celebrates high-quality, transitional-style furniture that remains in style no matter how trends change.

Artem states: 'The quiet luxury trend has an appealing appeal founded on minimalism and quality. The style is more about keeping up with fleeting fashions but creating a place that is classical and modern simultaneously, expressing its power in the field of design.'

The warm, neutral color scheme forms the backdrop for the timeless nature of this cozy living room. Nina says: 'Warm neutral color schemes, reminiscent of nature's palette, not only foster tranquility and sophistication but also ground us in a timeless connection to the natural world. This timeless quality enhances the overall atmosphere, creating a living space that is both inviting and elegant.'

Artem adds, 'Soft neutral living room color schemes provide a backdrop of silent sophistication. They offer a calming and attractive interior that, at the same time, is elegant and informal. The use of these colors in general brings about an air of light and air, hence, a luxurious and tranquil environment.'

Since its 2011 release, Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' has been the ultimate soundtrack to the holidays for many, myself included. Beyond its undeniably catchy jingle bell beat, the song captures the true spirit of this winter season: slowing down and spending time with loved ones. Bieber's Christmas decor mirrors this same heartfelt attitude.

In a recent time-lapse Instagram video posted to his page, we got a festive glimpse into how Justin and his wife, Hailey, decorate their tree, revealing a treasure trove of traditional Christmas decor ideas.

From stringing the lights first to crowning the top with a shining star, it's the quintessential holiday centerpiece. The close-up on the second slide shows a tree rich with sentimental ornaments: glass-blown hot dogs, raccoons, snowmen, needle-felted dogs, and candy canes. Clearly, this is a collection of cherished memories the couple has gathered throughout their years together.

Shop Justin Bieber-inspired Christmas essentials

Embracing sentimentality in your Christmas tree is a wonderful way to use decor to boost your mood as the nights grow longer and colder.

Anna Jones, interior designer at Furn, notes: 'Handmade ornaments, family heirlooms, or even personalized decorations will naturally evoke feelings of nostalgia. Each year, as you unpack these decorations, they will help to bring back fond memories, bringing a sense of warmth and joy to your space. If it feels cosy, like you want to wrap yourself up in the contents of the room, then you’re definitely on the right track to joy-drenching.'

Furthermore, Bieber's classic Christmas tree theme aligns perfectly with current interior design trends, making it a stylish choice for those who heed popular decor movements this festive season. '56% of decorators are planning to incorporate vintage elements into their homes this holiday season. This signals that the timeless appeal of mid-century style is back in a big way,' says Mike Brown, Head of Design at Scandinavian Designs.

He recommends: 'It’s about mixing nostalgia with a contemporary edge. The iconic 80s vibe: organic, modern, and undeniably cool, is perfect for the holidays since it is both cozy and chic. It emphasizes earthy tones, wood, stone, and plush textiles, which evoke a sense of cozy sophistication and a connection to nature.' This natural, grounding element is reflected in the wood and curved furniture of Bieber's living room. It’s a powerful reminder that harmonizing your tree decor with your room’s overall design can have a stunning impact.

Designing your tree based on your personal style, informed by your memories and family history, ensures you create holiday decor that will never fade from beauty as the years and seasons pass.

Hailey Bieber is renowned for her elegant, quiet luxury style, but her paneled greige walls take the model’s stylish modern minimalist design to the next level.

Hailey recently shared a look at the home she likely shares with her husband, Justin Bieber, on Instagram, showcasing walls that embody a perfectly casual, chic, stealth wealth aesthetic. The straight, modern panels are accentuated by a glossy, neutral paint finish. One glimpse is enough to convince us we need this living room wall idea in our own homes.

Interior design experts agree on the appeal of the color and paneling combination. Jessica Myeck, a DURA color expert at Dunn-Edwards, notes, ‘After seeing Hailey Bieber's Instagram post where she showcases her “casual-chic” style and stunning greige walls, I can understand how many might be tempted to incorporate a similar color into their own homes.’

Myeck adds that the look generally brings ‘an organic, yet polished, feel to any room or design style – but especially suits laundry rooms, entryways, bedrooms, and kitchens’.

Shop the neutral room edit

Interior designer Tama Bell, founder of Tama Bell Design, further explains the enduring appeal of paneling. ‘Paneled walls are a popular design choice for a number of reasons. They are a classic, traditional element and add a layer of architectural detail to a home. We love how they can be used to make a new home feel “old.”’

For those looking to replicate Hailey’s sophisticated style, Jessica has specific paint recommendations, perfect for setting a serene tone as the cooler, cozier days of autumn approach or as a fresh backdrop for spring decor. One of her favorites is Bungalow Taupe (DE6172), which she describes as ‘a grainy tan dusted with green and has a delightfully organic feel.

Versatile and freeing, Bungalow Taupe is perfect for a variety of design styles, making it the ideal choice to incorporate into your living spaces.’ Jessica also favors Desert Suede (DE6206), which she calls 'a timeless neutral greige with a subtle hint of green. Its versatility allows the hue to effortlessly complement various design aesthetics, both indoors and outdoors.’ For a touch of classic elegance, she suggests Fine Grain (DE6213), which is a ‘sophisticated greige hue that translates to any space, working exceptionally well in transitional design styles.’

This classic chic look relies heavily on monochromatic color schemes, so both Jessica and Tama advise sticking to a single color. Jessica suggests painting everything – walls, doors, trims, and even the ceilings – in the exact same shade, noting that the texture variations of the panels will elevate the design.

Tama calls this technique of using one color across all surfaces in a paneled room ‘color drenching’ and says it can visually expand a space. She finds this method particularly effective in smaller areas like a powder bath, laundry room, or mud room.

For those who don't have existing paneling, Jessica offers a clever workaround to capture the effect. She suggests: ‘You can use a painter’s tape [available at Amazon] to achieve the effect of paneling through the use of precise lines: start by painting the base color of your choosing, and then apply the tape to create 1/4” vertical stripes every six inches or so (based on the size of your wall). This clever technique will give the illusion of vertical paneling, adding a touch of sophistication to your space.’

No matter your current home style, Hailey Bieber’s effortlessly chic design is easily within your reach! Are you leaning toward trying the greige paint color, or are you more interested in the 'color drenching' technique? Let me know in the comments below.

How do you add visual interest to a living room easily and affordably? Well-styled shelves are the answer. Inspiration can be found in Justin and Hailey Bieber's striking minimalist living room.

The couple's living room shelving features built-ins on either side of their fireplace. They are styled with a collection of books, large and small, vases, and glass sculptures. Open space is just as important as the objects themselves. It creates an elevated, minimalist yet personalized feel.

Luckily, recreating the Biebers' shelf styling is exceedingly simple with the right guidance. Acclaimed interior designer Laura Hammett explains: 'My approach to crafting visually interesting, well-balanced shelf displays is to treat them like a gallery space, where a skilful use of negative space is just as important as what you’re putting on display. The trick to perfectly harmonious bookshelves is not to overcrowd them.'

Shop the Look

To get started building your bookshelf wealth look inspired by Justin and Hailey's, start at the top.

'Look at the shelving area you’re working with like a pyramid, with one large statement piece in the top-centre position to draw the eye up, before moving down to create width with smaller items like photo frames and candles at eye level,' advises Laura on decorating shelves.

'At the lower levels, spread across the whole width of the bottom shelves with bold, anchoring items like books, storage boxes or sculptural pieces,' she continues. 'This pyramid method creates visual harmony and prevents the display from feeling top-heavy or cluttered.'

As seen in the differing designs on either side of Justin and Hailey Bieber's fireplace, contrast is your best friend when creating a styled shelf. This is great for keeping your shelves from looking cluttered.

'A composition doesn’t need to be symmetrical or the mirror image on both sides,' suggests Laura. 'Creating similar proportions and height levels on both sides achieves a balanced, but not ‘over-styled’ look.'

To make your living room shelves look more expensive, a classic merchandizing trick works well to keep it polished.

Laura states: 'Styling in pairs is a great way to help build up the display, I love pairing glass vases and photo frames in two sizes side by side. Glass is a wonderful reflector of light and captures a sense of fluidity. Photo frames also work well in pairs, giving a layered look and a sense of depth when staggered. Photographs naturally bring a personal touch to your styling and make the display uniquely yours.'

Finally, don't be afraid to mix it up.

Laura explains: 'Variety is key when it comes to shelf styling. Mix different materials and textures to add depth and interest to your display. Sculptural items like bookends work well as ornamental pieces atop a stack of books or when used practically to envelope a row of vertically stacked books. Combine contrasting forms and shapes, such as organic-shaped glass vases alongside a bronze-trimmed media box for a striking contrast.'

Styling shelves is a difficult task, but looking at inspiring images like Justin and Hailey Bieber's living room demystifies it.

Minimalist design is tried and true for a reason: it's chic, elevated, and pleasing to the eye, making it a common design choice from kitchens and bedrooms to bathrooms and dining rooms.

When it comes to the latter, we are taking cues from Justin Bieber, whose modern living space is perhaps one of the most sophisticated and minimalist living spaces I have seen this year.

The key? Despite a neutral color palette, he keeps things interesting with statement furnishings (we are, of course, talking about the modular sofa, harkening back to the '70s conversation pit trend), as well as plants for some additional greenery.

Starting with a base of a neutral palette is essential to making a living room more relaxing, and as such, even if you are planning on incorporating statement pieces, like Justin Bieber has done, it is crucial to lay a strong foundation first.

'A neutral color palette is best suited to rooms you spend a lot of time in, such as a bedroom or living room, where relaxing tones are key to creating a happy space, says Lisa Conway, marketing manager at heritage carpet company Brintons.

We can see that Justin has opted for a cream-colored base, which is smooth and untextured, allowing for the furnishings and accessories to make a statement. Meanwhile, the subtle textures and shapes in pieces like the dusty rose curtains and shell-effect sconce draw the eye towards them gently.

Justin also decorates the space with a burst of silver thanks to a metallic bench next to the modular sofa. Its bulbous shape and undeniable sheen are just the right amount of unexpected, and provide contrast to the rest of the natural and neutral space.

Finally, the sofa is definitely the highlight of the space, with its peaks and dips giving the room a retro, playful feel, while its gray color grounds it in modernity.

Justin Bieber's living room is proof that even the most neutral of living rooms can be visually interesting with the right balance of textures, shapes, and styles.

Conversational seating is one of the best ways to invite lively discussion and joy into your home, and Justin Bieber accomplishes it with just one piece of furniture: his '70s-style Dune sofa.

Interestingly, Bieber's living room sofa has a rich history. 'Adored by stars worldwide, including Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Frank Ocean, and many more, the ‘Dune’ sofa featured on Justin’s Instagram is designed by French furniture designer Pierre Paulin,' explains interiors expert at Sofa Club, Monika Puccio. She continues, 'While the product is available on their website as enquiries only, each modular section of the sofa is believed to run upwards of $5,000. While this particular sofa is certainly for the high-end customer, this style can be replicated for a fraction of the cost.'

Furthermore, this type of seating is emerging as a major living room trend. Monika states: 'The trend for the 70s beloved conversation pit is making a comeback thanks to an increased awareness of self-care, less priority on television, and more emphasis on in-the-moment communication. The resurgence can also be attributed to the increase in maximalism and the desire for more statement pieces in the home.'

Shop Similar Modular Sofas

Whatever your budget, a sectional living room design can create a similar style. 'Modular sofas are a great way to create a conversation pit at home, with each section being able to be tailored to your specific lifestyle and spatial requirements,' states Monika. 'Curved sofas are also a core trend right now, shifting away from harsh lines'

To recreate Justin Bieber's favorite era, these smaller pieces tap into the glamor of the '70s without the price tag.

Bringing '70s trends into your home ensures that your space will always look interesting. When you combine eras, the style is not dated, but transcendent.

Every year since its release in 2011, Justin Bieber's 'Mistletoe' has been my number one most listened-to Christmas song. Beyond the undeniably catchy jingle bell beat, the singer just seems to understand what the holidays are about: slowing down and spending time with loved ones. Justin Bieber's sentimental Christmas tree reflects the same attitude.

In a time-lapse Instagram video Bieber posted to his page, we got to see how Justin and his wife, Hailey, decorate their tree and it's a treasure trove of traditional Christmas decor ideas. From putting up the lights first to adding a shining star to the top, it looks like the quintessential Christmas tree. In the close-up on the second slide, we can see that the tree is full of sentimental ornaments: glass-blown hot dogs, raccoons, snowmen, needle-felted dogs, and candy canes. It's clear that it's full of memories that the couple has collected over their years together.

Leaning into sentimentality with your Christmas tree is a wonderful way to use decor to boost your mood. Anna Jones, interior Designer at Furn states: 'Handmade ornaments, family heirlooms, or even personalized decorations will naturally evoke feelings of nostalgia. Each year, as you unpack these decorations they will help to bring back fond memories, bringing a sense of warmth and joy to your space. If it feels cosy, like you want to wrap yourself up in the contents of the room, then you’re definitely on the right track to joy drenching.'

Furthermore, Bieber's Christmas tree theme fits well into interior design trends, meaning it's the perfect option for if you take heed of popular styles in your decor.

The iconic 80s vibe—organic, modern, and undeniably cool, is perfect for the holidays since it is both cozy and chic. It emphasizes earthy tones, wood, stone, and plush textiles, which evoke a sense of cozy sophistication and a connection to nature.' We see this pull in the natural wood and curved furniture in Bieber's living room. It's a reminder that matching your tree decor to your room design can have a powerful impact.

When you design your tree based on your personal style, informed by your memories and family history, you will have holiday decor that will never fade from beauty.

Move over quiet luxury, the modern rustic trend is one of the most prolific looks of 2024. Part of the trend's appeal is that it can be evoked with minimal effort, which we see clearly in Justin and Hailey Bieber's home.

In the singer and model power couple's house, a modern rustic look is created with only the ceiling. The Biebers' fifth wall is paneled in reddish, natural wood in a pattern that spirals inward. Variation in color creates an organic motif while the semi-gloss finish helps the wood to appear more contemporary. Using this one simple material, they celebrate this gorgeous interior design trend.

Why is the trend one of the biggest of 2024? In part, because it celebrates a lived-in feel over stark perfection. Nina Lichtenstein, Westchester-based interior designer tells Homes & Gardens: 'The rustic modern trend marries rustic elements with sleek, modern design concepts to create a harmonious balance between raw authenticity and refined elegance.'

She continues, 'More than that, this aesthetic welcomes imperfections by honoring the natural character of materials such as wood, stone, and metal. Perhaps more than any other trend, the rustic modern trend is synonymous with character-driven design.' With their ceiling idea, Justin and Hailey celebrate the varied beauty of these materials.

Furthermore, the Bieber's rustic decor idea became a trend for its celebration of the outdoor world. Hafsa Burt, founder of hb+a architects, tells H&G: 'Rustic modern look has the semblance of a modern barn, which more and more folks find appealing because of its natural setting.' The wooden ceiling gives the country charm alongside city chicness.

She adds: 'Lots of light, unpretentious finishes, exposed wood beams and ceilings, irregular stone walls, and a fireplace all are elements included in a rustic modern interior. This style offers a snug, comfortable, sheltered feeling that people crave in the chaos of modern living.' These natural materials promote feelings of calm and tranquility, which can certainly be felt when looking at the Biebers' space.

Even if you don't have natural wood ceilings in your home, you can bring the warm, naturally calming look of the trend into your home with cozy furniture inspired by nature. This pendant light, stool, and lampshade bring the style with rich texture and striking organic lines.

Though they don't show much of their home online, it's immediately apparent the way the couple uplifts natural material and rustic interiors. Based on its timeless appeal, the Biebers' favorite trend trend will only continue to grow in 2024.

Are glass doors still in style? If 'it' couple Justin and Hailey Bieber's home is anything to go off of, then yes, they are. The musician and model's house features doors paneled in small glass windows between their living room and kitchen.

While this feature can sometimes look dated, this isn't the case in Justin and Hailey's home. Instead, the technique creates an incredibly stylish and functional effect.

The look is gaining popularity firstly because Justin and Hailey's design is an easy way to make a house lighter. 'Paned glass window doors create a visual connection between rooms while maintaining distinct space,' says Artem Kropovinsky, interior designer and founder of Arsight. He continues, 'They let the natural light stream freely, thus enhancing the openness and airiness of the interiors.'

Furthermore, this version of a glass partition wall is especially effective for use between a living room and a kitchen design. Artem states: 'These doors make a perfect combination between separation and integration across a living room and a kitchen. They control sounds from kitchens as well as smells but still maintain connectivity in terms of designs for dwelling places.'

Jennifer Ebert, digital editor at Homes & Gardens, adds: 'In terms of rhythm in interior design, these doors are a great option. They minimize sound transmission between rooms but allow for the passing of light and let you see what's in the next room over.  This helps to create a wonderful flow in your space.'

Furthermore, glass-paneled doors inside the house are predicted to be a 2024 interior design trend. Artem says, 'There’s no doubt this design feature is catching on, it meets contemporary demand for open-plan living that also recognizes defined areas, making it both stylish and functional.'

As debates rage on about open-concept living rooms versus more traditional 'closed' spaces among design aficionados, glass doors strike a perfect middle ground. If open plan goes out of style, this light-filled option will still be here.

Hailey and Justin Bieber know exactly how to create a trend – spanning the fashion, beauty, and interior industries. It is the latter category in which their most recent (and unexpected trend) falls – and it comes in the shape of their 'invisible' living room storage.

Despite its futuristic connotations, the couple's storage system isn't entirely 'invisible' as it would be in a sci-fi (sorry), but it is indisputably discreet – blending seamlessly into the room's white-hued walls. It's easy to overlook these sleek cabinets when glancing at the space – unlike conventional living room storage that often offers open shelving to showcase our possessions.

And while there is certainly nothing wrong with exhibiting some of the contents of our shelves, Justin and Hailey's pared-back solution introduces us to a distinctly more minimalist solution – and, like us, designers can't get enough.

While this storage has a place in any style of home, Artem says that it is particularly attractive in urban dwellings, like this Manhattan apartment, where space is more of a premium. 'In cities, 'invisible' cabinets offer a clever way to store items without consuming visual real estate. This gives the illusion of more open, airy space, enhancing the overall room dimensions,' he explains.

As mentioned, choosing discreet cabinets offer less opportunity to dress your shelves with decorative accessories; however, that doesn't mean we need to hide them away.

'When you minimize the presence of storage solutions, you offer an opportunity for your cherished objects and art pieces to truly shine,' Artem comments. 'It's about mastering the art of showcasing, not overshadowing.'

Aesthetics aside, Artem adds that invisible storage may also benefit our well-being – promoting a serene space where beautiful storage doesn't feel like a priority (even if it is).

Something tells us that invisible storage will have a place among future design trends – and what can we say, but we welcome any room that looks as seamless as Justin and Hailey Bieber's.

Supermodel and socialite Hailey Bieber is a force in the fashion industry, but she's no stranger to setting interior trends, too.

The 26-year-old, who lives in Beverly Hills with her husband, singer Justin Bieber could have her pick of the best throw blankets on the market – but one product comes out on top. And her approval is matched by the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Bella Hadid, Oprah, and several members of the Kar-Jenner family.

The product in question – the CozyChic Angular Rib Blanket by Barefoot Dreams – was among Hailey's top gift guide picks, which she shared via her Instagram (below). Hayley chose the Oyster colorway, but the same blanket comes in cream – if you want to keep things more minimalist.

Both Hailey and Justin are reportedly fans of the Californian label for their soft selection of blankets and loungewear, but it's not hard to understand why this product topped her guide. The blankets are famous for feeling plush, with a somewhat spongey-like feel – meaning they are almost addictive to the touch. And, of course, its versatile aesthetic is a bonus.

We would not be surprised to spot this blanket in various points around Hailey and Justin Bieber's house. However, as we mentioned, the model is not alone in her admiration. In 2018, Khloé Kardashian responded to a fan via Twitter – labeling it as her 'favorite blanket in the entire world'. Fans of Kate Hudson similarly spotted a cream Barefoot Dreams in her home after she shared an image of her son, Ryder Robinson, relaxing on the blanket in her living room.

Chrissy Teigen also tweeted: 'If you are struggling for a Christmas gift for someone, get them a barefoot dreams blanket. I use mine 365 days a year. It stretches and wraps over your shoulders and feet, and nothing else compares.'

Winter is the time for investing in a new blanket, after all. And we're certainly not about to argue with Hailey Bieber.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber sold their fully furnished Beverly Hills mansion for almost $7.9 million in 2021 – leaving them at a loss of half a million dollars.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the couple purchased the 6,132-square-foot home for $8.5 million only 18 months prior to their sale.

The singer, who rose to fame in late 2009, previously gave his 164 million Instagram followers a tour of the mansion, one of the world's best homes, in October 2019 before asking if anyone was 'interested' in making him an offer. In the post, he announced: 'I think I wanna sell my home in Beverly Hills who wants it,' before adding, 'I'll sell it with all the furniture. MAKE AN OFFER.'

Justin owned the home with his wife, supermodel Hailey Bieber, who he married in September 2018.

Inside the property are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a marble-glazed chef's kitchen, an office, and a private movie theater.

There is also an LED-lit wine room with an additional wet bar which is perfect for a night of celebration when the moon appears above this prestigious star-studded neighborhood.

The home is also noted for its chic indoor/outdoor open floor plan, that fills the rooms with natural Californian sunlight whilst offering an outlook over the olive-tree kissed landscape.

This feature was designed, along with the rest of the house, by Charles Infante, the esteemed Hollywood production designer, who crafted every detail of the mansion – from stylish oak interiors to the whitewashed brick exterior.

Beyond the sweeping glass windows of the home is a verdant backyard, including a cabana with a fireplace and a large infinity pool where you can unwind after a day indulging in decadent Hollywood glamor.

Where do Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber live now?

Despite selling this Beverly Hills home, Justin and Hailey still own an impressive 2.5-acre property on a Beverly Park estate, which they purchased for $25.8 million.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin lived for much of the pandemic in their $5 million lakeside mansion in Ontario, which they bought in 2018. The property has four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a two-story wine room.
