Thanksgiving is one of the few holidays where togetherness is the whole point. There are no presents to wrap, no pomp and circumstance, no glitz and glamour; it's just about gathering, reconnecting, and spending time with those you love around a delicious meal.
It's also a holiday where the living room takes a back seat and the dining room becomes the heart of the home, serving a function much greater than just eating. A warm, grounded, timeless, and even elegant dining space creates the perfect environment for laughter, conversation, and memory-making. That's where HERNEST comes in.
HERNEST furniture is inspired by nature with a deep respect for craftsmanship. The brand prides itself on creating thoughtful products made from high-quality materials and crafted with care. These retro, lived-in looks are timeless, inviting, and sophisticated; the perfect recipe for a warm dining room.
'To create an inviting space, start with an inviting color palette,' says Homes & Gardens editor Jennifer Ebert. 'HERNEST's pieces stick to soft, warm hues like ivory, soft beige, and oak brown that are easy to mix, match, and play up with your existing decor.'
For example, you can dress up the Marisol Oak Dining Table with a farmhouse-inspired runner and tapered maroon candles for a hint of holiday nostalgia. Or welcome guests in style by adding texture and depth with a berry branch arrangement atop the Marisol Oak Sideboard.
'Playing up the natural elements of these pieces is key,' says Jennifer. 'I suggest incorporating other seasonally appropriate organic elements into your tablescape or side table decor. Think items like gourds, pumpkins, or even pinecones.'
Finally, remember warmth isn't just added to a table through soft, glowing candles or rich accent pieces. Throwing a quilted blanket or adding a muted floral pillow to the Leonora Dining Chairs can also help guests feel at home.
If you're ready to embrace togetherness this Thanksgiving, check out the cozy, well-designed furniture picks from HERNEST below (some of which are currently up to 70% off during the brand's Black Friday Sale).
For those planning to entertain in a larger space, this extended dining table will come in handy. It can comfortably fit six to eight people.
These elegant dining chairs feature a curved back and soft bouclé fabric to make your guests extra comfortable.
The gorgeous fluting on this oak wood sideboard adds instant intrigue and texture to any space.
Your search for the perfect kitchen island ends here. With storage cabinets and drawers on both sides, enough room for stools, and an elevated marble finish, this is an underrated piece of furniture that every home needs.
With back support, sleek leather, and a durable ash frame, these will be your new favorite counter stools.
This piece is great for anyone who's looking to upgrade a smaller space ahead of the holidays. The "tiny but mighty" adage applies here—the stone tabletop and fluted base pack a punch.
HERNEST draws inspiration from "nature's quiet rhythms," and this rustic side table is reminiscent of a tree trunk.
I could see this cabinet filled with mementos and photos that would add a personal touch to any living space.
The fluted detailing, which is crafted from solid American oak, immediately catches your eye. I'd style this piece with a cool fabric runner and candelabra when hosting guests.
A console table with built-in drawers is undoubtedly versatile. You could put it in your kitchen and store silverware inside, or put it in your living room and use it to store miscellaneous items.
These mid-century modern chairs have a cool sculptural appeal that can add dimension to a dining room.
Picture this table at your upcoming holiday soirée, decorated with an autumnal tablecloth, tea lights, and gorgeous glassware.
The after-dinner plan to gather in the living room and cozy up with a good movie is just as important as the dinner itself. The piece with its fluted texture adds so much visual intrigue to the space.
Comfortable linen adds a plush feel to these chairs. Plus, the fabric enhances the coziness of the room.
