Celine Dion's understated Christmas tree is a quiet luxury take on the 'winter wonderland' look – the simple style will look elegant every year
Simplicity doesn't take away from the stunning Christmas tree in the singer's home – it's a celebration of snow that's simultaneously festive and elevated

Though snow and white are some of the most common motifs associated with the holiday season, we don't often use them to decorate a Christmas tree. Celine Dion is changing this.
A photo of the power ballad singer on her official Instagram shows that her Christmas tree is a celebration of white and silver. The simple tree is covered with white lights on thin silver wire that cascades down its surface. White and silver ornaments are hung across the tree for a striking impact. A layered, blooming flower brings elegance and maturity to the tree. Billows of silver and gray tulle undulate beneath, creating a foggy, dreamy base. It's simple but elegant.
What makes the look work? In large part, the answer is its quiet luxury sensibility. The sparse style of decorating makes the fresh green branches stand out in their natural beauty. What Dion's design lacks in color it makes up for in shape and texture, and the curves of the ribbons and baubles across the tree create a look that instantly draws the eye in. Further, the snowy glow of the tree keeps it from feeling too sterile. It is at once elevated, but extremely festive.

A white flower ornament like on Celine Dion's tree brings a sense of glamor to a green tree. I love this glittery fabric one from Wayfair.
Classic, sophisticated and enduringly popular, metallic ornaments are everlasting so I always suggest to invest in the best ones you can afford. They are great fillers and will work with just about any other trend.
If you are going to decorate with glitter at home, than Christmas is the best time to do so. It is fun, playful and will capture the imagination of the grandchildren...
Luckily for fans of Dion's quiet luxury Christmas decor idea, it's easy to replicate. Christmas decor expert Gisela Graham recommends: 'To achieve a proper winter wonderland feel, you'll need lots of twinkling lights, sparkling white and clear decorations and the odd glimpse of ice blue.'
Furthermore, this style isn't limited to the tree. The magic of winter wonderland can be just as beautiful applied to holiday table decor. Graham states: 'Don't forget that decorations also look beautiful suspended above the dining table from a rustic branch or horizontally hung wreath.' These white and silver accents would be gorgeous layered over a white or blue tablecloth.
