Gwyneth Paltrow says Goop's new CB2 collection draws inspiration from Parisian apartments and Italian furniture – it's both elegant and daring
'In our view, beauty comes from individuality and refinement, and that's what we infused into every detail of this collection': Shop our must-have pieces
For fans of Gwyneth Paltrow and her lifestyle empire, Goop, it's likely felt like a long six years since their first collaboration with CB2. However, at last, the wait to upgrade our homes the Paltrow way has come to an end.
CB2 has launched its second collection with Paltrow's modern tastemaker brand – a natural collaboration considering the success of its aforementioned debut collaboration in 2018.
The new collection, aptly named 'Part Two,' pushes the boundaries of design, offering pieces that blend vintage references with bold, new aesthetics. This chapter features new pieces inspired by modern Parisian apartments and mid-century Italian modernist furniture, as Paltrow herself explains.
'At goop, we bring beauty into all aspects of our consumers' lives. In our view, beauty comes from individuality and refinement, and that's what we infused into every detail of this collection,' she says.
'Little touches, like the brass caps and marble legs on our Nadine chair, add an element of high design and will patina over time. These are heirloom pieces to treasure, inspired by modern Parisian apartments and mid-century Italian modernist furniture. We leaned into complex materiality – plaster, shearling, lacquer – for a collection that is as elegant and grown up as it is daring.'

Paltrow spoke of how this collection pays homage to Italian midcentury design, and this tripod table lamp is the perfect example of this. Despite being minimalist in form, it's full of personality, making a statement on every table.
