The Fall Home Trends Everyone Will Be Talking About by September Are Already 30% off at Anthropologie

It’s sweltering outside, but these ruffles, scallops, and chenilles are offering a fabulous distraction

Anthropologie fall decor finds, including a chenille armchair, hotel-border accent pillow, ruffled duvet, bed skirt, set of hand towels, boucle ottoman, Volcano candle, and bow plate.

Linen bed sheets in December. Balsam fir candles in August. Sales are typically where unwanted stock goes to sing its swan song, but Anthropologie’s Home Favorites Event is essentially the opposite, taking 30% off evergreen favorites and what I suspect will be some of this fall's biggest decorating trends across bedding, towels, home fragrance, and more, now through July 19.

Already on the docket: ruffles (the iconic Spa Sateen Sheets now come in an easier-to-layer stripe), scallops (these velour bath towels brighten a bathroom just as the days begin to darken), chenille (the cool-weather armchair upholstery of my dreams), swivel silhouettes (stationary chairs are so passé), yarn-dyed bed skirts to disguise under-bed storage (your soon-to-be-retired resortwear will need somewhere to go), and sturdy stoneware because, believe it or not, hot tea is in your future.

I, for one, could use a distraction from the 90-plus degree weather we’re having. Plus, as an Aquarius (unique to a fault), nothing tickles me more than getting in on a trend before everyone else. Don’t wait until this fall decor hits peak saturation. Shop the now-on-sale finds at Anthropologie that will probably never make it to the clearance bin.
