Designers Say That Once Dated ‘Millennial’ Mint Green Is Back for 2026 – 16 Pieces That Changed My Mind About the Trend

I haven’t touched mint green in over a decade, but Chanel plus a new crop of interiors collections have me styling it again

Mint green is back – at Chanel, no less. Matthieu Blazy’s debut Spring/Summer 2026 and Métiers d’Art collections put the toothpaste-fresh hue back on the map, reviving a color many of us thought we’d left behind in the 2010s. Now, in a twist few saw coming, it’s finding its way back into our homes for summer 2026.

The pastel room idea may transport some of us straight back to 2016, but the mint green's references run much deeper. ‘Mint green reads very retro, think 1950s and ‘60s Americana; it also can feel very Palm Beach or Slim Aarons,’ says Gabriela Eisenhart, founder and creative director of Atlanta-based Gabriela Eisenhart Interiors. Admitting the shade can occasionally lack grounding, she notes that the key to making it feel current is pairing it with its polar opposite. ‘I like to mix it with classic profiles and materials to offset the overly kitchy feel it can be associated with.’

Bridging the gap from runway to residence is fashion designer and interior architect Aimee Song, whose recent Lulu and Georgia collection taps mint green's playful side to enliven already whimsical sculptural vases. Elsewhere, Brooklinen’s Super-Plush Mineral release offers a gentler reintroduction, swaddling our rituals in a slightly calmer cadence that could very well define another decade.

‘Colors have a way of transporting you back in time,’ notes Gabriela Eisenhart of Gabriela Eisenhart Interiors. ‘When using bolder colors, I think the key is in how you support them in a room so the space doesn’t feel too time-specific.’
