If there was ever a time to circle the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on your calendar, it’s now. This year, America turns 250, and Nordstrom – the Americana shopping institution since 1901 – is celebrating its 125th birthday. That’s literally half the time we’ve been a country, and to celebrate, more than 50 new brands are joining the sale for the first time.
Among the newcomers are Cozy Earth, maker of the Bubble Cuddle Throw beloved by little-known names like Kris Jenner and Oprah, and Flamingo Estate, whose Heirloom Tomato scent has become something of a calling card for a certain breed of niche-luxury tastemaker. (I use both the hand soap and candle regularly in my own home.)
Elsewhere, you’ll find a slew of rarely discounted heritage icons that have probably been sitting on your wishlist for months, if not years: the Le Creuset Dutch oven (for $200 off), mesmerizing mosaic bath towels from Parachute, Matouk sheets (the same luxury bed linens found in hotels like the Waldorf Astoria), and a retro-inspired Smeg stand mixer in ice blue, one of this year’s biggest runway colors.
