Kit’s story is a fascinating one. Without wanting to give too much away, Kit has been an interior designer and hotelier for more than 30 years, Throughout that time, she’s worked alongside her husband Tim to launch such iconic venues as Ham Yard and the Charlotte Street Hotel. In recent years they have crossed the Atlantic and brought their unique take on British charm to New York, opening the Crosby Street and Whitby hotels.
‘A good hotel’, Kit has said in an interview with the Evening Standard, ‘should have that sense of arrival and an adventure throughout the building, because if you come off a huge aeroplane, you feel rather mass-produced.’
For our evening with Kit, you’ll make your way up to the roof garden at the beautiful Ham Yard Hotel in Soho. Hear Kit share her style secrets while enjoying glorious cityscape views, wine and delicious canapés. Situated on the fourth floor, the exclusive roof garden can usually only be enjoyed by in-house guests, so this is a rare chance to take in its exquisite planting, indulgent open-air lounge and bar.
You can also catch a glimpse of Ham Yard’s famous bee hives, cared for by the hotel’s dedicated bee keeper, Camilla.
