We have definitely transitioned seasons. Autumn is here and brings with it a shift in mood. It’s the perfect moment to make alterations to our homes and welcome in the colder months. Naturally, we find ourselves seeking the retreat and cocooning comfort of our rooms at this time, spaces where we can rest and unwind after the hum of a busy summer.

The dreamy new Casablanca collection from M&S Home, designed in collaboration with British heritage brand Fired Earth and inspired by their unique tile designs, makes it easy for even the busiest among us to find the time to decorate and create fresh and restful spaces to spend our time effortlessly. The collection delivers a sense of calmness coupled with a touch of sophistication, thanks to its elegant mix of classic prints that balance perfectly with signature, tranquil shades of Fired Earth’s most celebrated designs.

‘We have loved working with Fired Earth to rework some of their most iconic tile designs and beloved colour stories,’ says Karen Thomas, head of home design at M&S. ‘The result is a beautiful collection to love for years to come.’

The Fired Earth inspired range has been carefully curated with patterns and designs from the tiles, which have been transposed onto fabrics for cushions, bedding, and towels. And have been enhanced for the home with additional detailings, such as delicate embroidery, tufted textures and wooden buttons.

Drawing on a modern monochromatic palette of deep charcoals, soft creams, and hints of ochre next to geometric prints, the Casablanca collection is wonderfully sophisticated and celebrates the wonder of its Moroccan city namesake. Offering a bold aesthetic, its range of uniquely beautiful homewares and furnishings does such a marvellous job at celebrating the light and colour of this wonderful coastal town, with its blend of Moorish architecture and rich European Art Deco style.

Telling the beloved colour stories of this cosmopolitan Moroccan town, you’ll see Casablancan influence through each of the collection pieces. The range boasts such beautiful examples of traditional Moroccan-inspired tactile textures colliding elegantly with rich, earthy tones which reflect the charm of Casablanca's colonial legacy and influence.

You’ll fall in love with the collection’s perfectly autumnal ochre and terracotta flourishes that showcase the rich spices of a souk and the traditional patterns and designs of this far flung wonder.

Relaxed fabrics, including washed cottons and woven cut jacquards add to this autumnal feel and bring warmth to the rooms in which they are placed, whilst also creating a timeless look that will never go out of style. Yes, this is a wonderful collection for this time of year, but it also offers versatility that will last well into next season, and beyond.

What’s more, the pieces have been curated to work seamlessly together in a mix and match fashion; just in the same way Fired Earth tiles all complement one another, with multiple designs creating a stronger look when used side by side. It’s the epitome of Casablancan style: lush fabrics, rich colours, intricate textures and busy patterns all combining to create a stylish and colourful aesthetic.

Affordable but luxurious, the collection offers something for all spaces. With hammam towels for the bathroom, linen blend cushions and tactile throws for living spaces, as well as washed cotton duvets and pillowcases for the bedroom, you can effortlessly bring a touch of Casablanca to every room in your home.
