January might be the time to slow down and reset, but I've got plenty of dinner parties on the horizon – which gives me the perfect opportunity to invest in some new tableware. Before the sales wrap up, I'm keeping an eye on all my favorite brands, and trust me: there are some incredible discounts to be found in Net-a-Porter's homeware sale right now, so now is the time to treat yourself.

With a new year ahead, I'm looking forward to experimenting with some of the biggest table decor trends of 2026 – and while classic styles like florals and stripes are set to be as popular as ever, it's the 'modern eclecticism' aesthetic that has piqued my interest. Fortunately, brands like Net-a-Porter are ideal for perfecting this particular look; if I wasn't initially tempted by gorgeous pieces like Alighieri's totem gold-plated candlestick or Themis Z's porcelain cups and saucers, I certainly am right now.

Naturally, designer homeware is a serious investment, but I just can't fault the quality and style of Net-a-Porter's pieces – and I'm always thrilled to find a discount or two. (Right now, you can score as much as 70% off.)

I've had my eye on items like Aquazurra Casa's embroidered linen placemats and Gohar World's shell porcelain plates for a while now, and I know that my future self will thank me when I show them off at my next party. Plus, by tapping into the eclectic look and building up a collection of statement pieces, I'll make sure that whatever I buy will work hard on my dining table.

If you needed any more convincing, I've been looking to my favorite designers for tablescaping inspiration, and it seems that bold, characterful decor is about to take the spotlight. In fact, Shea McGee has declared that 2026 is the year of 'fancy tablescapes' – so I'm following her advice and arming my hosting closet with a few luxurious new pieces. Check out what's in my cart below.
