Tabletop Trees Are the Answer to Small Space Holiday Decorating – and I've Found the Most Stylish Options For Every Room
From frosted branches to rustic details, these tabletop trees mean there's no need to sacrifice on festive magic if space is limited
I recently moved into my first apartment, and while I'm loving the big city, I'm still getting used to life in a small space. The catch is: I adore the holidays, and I've always had some larger-than-life Christmas tree ideas. So although I'll be scaling down my grand visions this year, I won't be sacrificing style (or festive cheer) thanks to a carefully-chosen tabletop tree.
I know – tabletop trees aren't exactly revolutionary – But if I've recently discovered options that feel chic, elevated, and (crucially) durable. I might not have real pine needles to contend with, but I don't want to invest in a tree that's likely to lose a few plastic branches or its seasonal sparkle by the time I get it out of storage next year.

As the holidays approach, I'm determined to use every spare inch of my apartment to show off my Christmas decorating ideas. And after searching for the very best tabletop trees, I've come to the conclusion that a petite spruce can look just as magical as a towering, Hallmark-style beauty: you just need to start with a good foundation.
And, mini trees aren't just for small apartments like mine; they're ideal for bringing holiday magic to entryways, bedrooms, and even dining tables. So if you do have space to display a full-sized tree in your home, there's no reason not to add a few smaller ones into the mix, too.
Below, you'll find a selection of my favorite tabletop Christmas trees – so no matter the square footage of your home, you can be sure it looks like a festive wonderland.

I was instantly drawn to the pinecones on this mini tree – together with the frosted branches, they create a woodland-inspired festive scheme.
I've been eagerly searching the McGee & Co site since our Style Editor Julia Demer spotted Shea McGee's pre-lit mini Christmas tree, and I love this one; I know its terracotta pot will bring so much warmth to my living room.
Also the brainchild of Shea McGee, this charming tree is a failsafe choice – the woven pot will fit right in with all the rattan decorating ideas in my home.
I've fallen head over heels for Skye McAlpine's Balsam Hill Christmas tree, but this tabletop version is definitely a better fit for my apartment. I love that I can still fit some gifts underneath, too.
This delightfully festive tree is available in multiple different sizes, or as a set of three – so you really can bring a white Christmas to every corner of your home.
Complete with twinkling lights, clusters of winter berries, and a rustic burlap base, this mini tree is the perfect time saver – put it up and it's good to go.
After only a few months in my new home, I've been collecting all the design inspiration I can find for the holidays – and another look I'll definitely be trying is the honeycomb paper Christmas tree trend. Luckily, it doesn't require too much space either.
