Step inside celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin's house – a minimalist oasis in LA

Jen Atkin and her photographer husband Mike Rosenthal have listed their clean-lined LA home for $4.195 million.

The celebrity hairstylist, who tends to the tresses of everyone from the Kardashians to Chrissy Teigen, bought the home in 2018.

The couple brought Obermeyer Architecture onto the project and tapped interior design studio Maison Trouvaille to create the light, bright scheme in the five-bedroom, five bathroom home.

Modern black steel framed windows and doors let light flood into the home, and the open plan kitchen-lounge leads directly onto a beautiful terrace with squishy loungers invitingly sat next to the pool area.

The neutral palette is the perfect backdrop for statement oversized photography prints and art enhancing the walls around the house.

The kitchen mixes a Scandi feel with splashes of luxury, blending blond timber cabinets with sumptuous marble tops.

There's a stylish kitchen table for relaxed dining, which continues the earthy, organic vibe with a statement rattan pendant, and Black Rooster Decor bleached-out wooden dining chairs.

The lounge boasts sink-in-to sand-hued sofas, and brings the outdoors in with lots of light and large house plants.

The ultra-chic snug features a taxidermy peacock, elegant fireplace and chaise longue, which Jen describes as her 'fave meditation corner'.

There's also a formal dining room and other reception spaces, where super-sized mirrors have been used to create a roomy feeling and style statement.

The master bedroom is minimal yet sumptuous, with large armchairs sitting at the end of the bed in front of the fireplace.

The master bathroom really smacks of luxury, with a marble lined double shower room, which also features a freestanding tub.

Guest rooms and bathrooms are equally stylish and modern, featuring matte black hardware and the same back-to-nature feel.

What is Jen Atkin famous for?

Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin has styled the locks of a host of super-stars, and counts Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as close personal friends. In 2016, she launched her own haircare brand called Ouai, which has since become synonymous with cool girls sporting effortless, easy breezy looks.
