A cluttered nightstand doesn't inspire a calm environment for sleep, but as someone who listens to music just before and after I wake up, my portable speaker practically lives on mine, alongside all the other overnight essentials.

That's why I was thrilled when I found IKEA's new design-forward KULGLASS Bluetooth speaker lamp, as it will finally clear my mess and free up some space as a two-in-one gem.

The IKEA KULGLASS Bluetooth Speaker-Lamp Saves Space by Combining Music and Ambiance

The IKEA KULGLASS is one of those easy purchases that effortlessly maximize your space, and can pair with other IKEA speakers around the house for a more encompassing, home-filling sound.

I'm excited about finally stopping my nightstand from becoming a catchall by combining two essential devices into one warm, stylish piece.

Sound and light affect your home's energy, whether lifting your mood or creating a gentle ambiance in the evening, so it makes sense to bring them together into one device, particularly in small homes where space is tight.

Available in red or dark green, the IKEA KULGLASS has a frosted glass shade that provides a diffused, decorative light, atop a fabric mount that can play music at the touch of a button.

Reviewers praise the good-quality sound considering its low price, and how convenient it is to be able to play music from multiple IKEA speakers at once.

If you have Spotify, the lamp has a Spotify Tap button, which instantly plays your last played track, and can generate music based on your listening history.

It's a stylish way to save space at home, especially in small spaces where every inch of a nightstand or coffee table is precious.

The IKEA KULGLASS is available at IKEA for $129.99.
