5 Celebrities Setting the Standard for Fall Front Door Decor – From 15-Foot Skeletons to Giant Wicker Pumpkins

If you haven't already started, late September is the best time to put up your autumnal front door decor. It's appropriately late, but early enough that you'll get to admire your handiwork until Thanksgiving.

1. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

In 2023, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend worked with Marketing Studio LA to transform their Beverly Hills front yard into a haunted walk complete with 15-foot skeleton statues and pathways made of prize-winningly large pumpkins.

Their design is extremely fun, but the use of natural materials keeps it from flipping over the line into being too kitsch.

2. Martha Stewart

Obviously, Martha Stewart had to take her fall front porch in an understatedly elegant direction. By using a variety of pumpkins, gourds and squashes in an array of autumn colors, she echoed the beauty of the surrounding leaves at her Bedford farm.

It only makes sense that she grew them herself.

3. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, selected a more chillingly monochrome display for her outdoor Halloween decor. The display at her Hidden Hills mansion looks like an outtake from the Paris Catacombs, with faux bone trees and a fake skull entryway arch. It echoes the cream color palette we see on the inside of her home, and no one can accuse Kim of not being festive.

4. Shea McGee

Famous designer Shea McGee put a more 'coastal cottage' spin on the autumn decor for her front porch. By layering natural white pumpkins and wicker pumpkins from Pottery Barn, she steps away from tradition into a more design-led approach. If you are a minimalist, this is a great way to still celebrate the change of seasons without taking it over the top.

5. Winnie Harlow

Finally, we're still obsessed with Winnie Harlow's strikingly colorful autumnal display. By using pots full of blooming flowers alongside pumpkins, she creates a naturally bright look that seamlessly combines fading summer with approaching winter. The leaf archway on her front door is absolutely stunning.
