Kris Jenner's Sumptuous Outdoor Furniture Reinvents The Gray Patio – It Proves The Stony Shade is Anything But Dull
Gray can still be interesting in 2026, and Kris demonstrates exactly how to use it in a stylish and inviting outdoor space – her porch is so cozy
Gray gets a bad rap. When styled carelessly, the shade can give a space the impersonal feel of a business hotel or corporate waiting room; sterile, flat, and without character. No need for gray-lovers to despair, however - a thoughtful approach to gray interiors can be moody and evocative. Kris Jenner's outdoor living room is the perfect example.
The socialite's Hidden Hills, California home was designed as a collaboration between the inimitable Waldo Fernandez and Clements Design. Her entire home features a serene, understated palette, peppered throughout with a mixture of classic stones and textures - even her patio. Kris's back porch is a masterclass in using gray richly. It features a curved, velvety sofa in a stormy chenille and limewashed gray walls. A wooden sideboard and stone fireplace help to create contrast.
So, how do Kris's designers decorate with gray in a way that makes her space feel alive? To explore, let's start with a glimpse of her porch. Then, Homes & Gardens has curated a collection of our favorite gray outdoor furnishings for creating a similarly deep and textured look. Finally, we spoke with two interior designers for their tips on how people are decorating with gray on their porches in 2026.

Since Kris has a covered patio, she uses a gray chenille sofa on her porch. It's durable enough to withstand breezes, while providing an extra comfy place to land. It's the perfect pick for creating a space that feels like a hybrid between a living room and porch.
The easiest way to bring a touch of gray to a chair you already own – these cushions are as classic as they are functional. Made of 100% polyester, this breathable, UV- and fade-resistant cover keeps your cushion looking fresh outdoors.
You don't need a sofa to follow Kris Jenner's example. Add some greenery to your patio with this sleek, low planter. It's the perfect way to tap into this versatile color without a sizeable investment.
An alternative to a full gray furniture set, this ottoman is comfortable, versatile, and stunning in the stripe finish. It works beautifully as a footrest or extra seat, season after season.
Perfect for dining al fresco, this metal bench is sturdy and refined. The cream cushion gives it a touch of contrast, while the gray legs stick to a classic feel.
The perfect, instant, Kris-inspired upgrade begins with this piece. I love its soft, plush stripes, tapping perfectly into the look. It is meticulously woven with yarn-dyed threads, ensuring vibrant color that won't fade over time.
A huge part of what makes Kris's outdoor furniture feel so current, even though it was purchased in late 2018, is the shape of her sofa. Its modular curves feel distinctly of 2026, which helps bring the gray color palette to life. Dallas-based interior designer Kristen Fegale explains: 'I'm seeing lots of curvier outdoor upholstery silhouettes, many with a bulbous shape.' It demonstrates that no color looks 'dated' when used on the right furniture shape.
If you want to recreate Kris's take on gray, the most important element is paying attention to texture. This requires slightly more planning than just purchasing a quick furniture set. Ashley Gallion, Founder of Alabama-based Ashley Ayer Interiors advises: 'Choose pieces intentionally to instantly make the space feel more cohesive.'
Incorporating a range of high-performance outdoor fabrics, as we see on Kris's porch, also helps to keep a gray color scheme fresh. 'Breaking up fabric textures on furniture and throw pillows like linens in earthy tones will add comfort for the perfect social areas,' Ashley tells Homes & Gardens. She concludes: 'Keep weather-resistant materials in mind to ensure longevity of your pieces.'
With careful planning, attention to shape, texture, and materiality, you will have a Kris-Jenner-Worthy gray outdoor living room in no time.
