Christina Ricci has listed her LA home – the exterior has an expected dark edge – but its interiors couldn't be more different
The Wednesday actress is synonymous with gothic horror classics, so of course, her home follows suit (in one way, at least)

Think of Christina Ricci, and images of her role in gothic horror classics are likely to come to mind. From the Addams Family and Casper to Sleepy Hollow and Wednesday, much of Ricci's filmography has a dark edge – something that she's brought home (or at least, in regards to her property's exterior).
Ricci recently listed her abode in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, and its exterior is exactly what we expected (and hoped for). The actress painted the entire house exterior a moody dark blue hue, as perhaps a not-so-subtle nod to her career. However, the interiors are notably brighter and airier.
The home that's currently listed for $2.249 million with Mercedes Javid of The Agency is a recent product of Jeff Lewis, who designed the open-plan property with light in mind. The open floorplan boasts a kitchen, large windows, and new skylights, so the space still feels bright when the sun goes down.
Lewis thoughtfully modernized the property with function on the agenda – resulting in a space that's simultaneously suitable for working from home and basking in luxury in the zen seclusion of the tranquil grounds. The formal living room is also perfect for host guests with a double-sided fireplace, making it perfect for entertaining or intimate gatherings.
In the gray and white kitchen, the smart home capabilities come into play. The space exhibits modern custom cabinetry, marble countertops, custom-designed shelves, and JennAir appliances. There is also a professional-style gas range, a built-in microwave drawer, and an under-counter beverage fridge to make entertaining even more seamless.
On the upper level, the primary bedroom features a wallpapered ensuite bathroom, walk in closets, and doors opening to the Romeo and Juliet-style balcony. There are a further three remaining bedrooms and bathrooms, all of which exhibit a similar neutral color pallet.
Outside, the space around the aforementioned painted home is perfect for al-fresco entertaining. However, it's equally designed as a therapeutic sanctuary amid Los Angeles' buzz. Lewis added beautiful waters (including a waterfall and a pond) and a series of pathways around the lawn and swimming pool.
