Drew Barrymore's striped sofa is her most elegant design to date – it oozes East Hampton elegance in time for summer 2025 (and is under $384)
This subtly striped linen sofa anchors any living room while feeling light and casual – it looks so much more expensive than its price tag

Since launching her Beautiful décor range in 2021, Drew Barrymore has consistently delivered on the accent chair and sofa fronts. That circular boucle chair has long been a favorite here at Homes & Gardens, as has her iconic modular sectional sofa – but then we saw her latest drop, and we dare say it's her best yet.
The actress only launched the Striped Linen Beautiful Drew Sofa (available at Walmart) in mid-March, but we're already counting it as a stand-out piece from the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore collection. Its stiped linen upholstery lends itself beautifully to the East Hampton coastal style, a look that radiates an old money aesthetic all year around (but none more so than on a spring/summer afternoon).
'The East Hampton coastal style is all about relaxed elegance – it captures that breezy, beachy vibe but with an elevated, timeless sensibility,' comments Sandra Moreno, a designer from Studio No. 8. 'Think crisp whites, natural textures, and subtle nods to nautical heritage. One of the most classic ways to bring that look to life? Stripes – especially on a sofa or accent furniture.'
There is no more perfect (or accessible) starting point than Drew's striped linen sofa. It looks so much more expensive than its $384 price tag, and it's designed to last.
The stain-resistant bouclé or linen fabric is practical and chic, making the East Hampton coastal style more accessible than ever. Built with a solid wood frame, it offers lasting durability, while its reversible back cushions and spring seat bring comfort and support. Its rounded armrests add a further touch of elegance that will look beautiful through spring, summer, and beyond.

As Sandra explains, stripes are synonymous with coastal decor, but why is that the case? 'Stripes, particularly in soft blues, grays, or neutrals, immediately evoke the coastal palette: they're fresh, airy, and suggest the rhythm of waves, cabana fabrics, or sailcloth,' she explains. 'A subtly striped sofa in a cotton-linen blend can anchor a room while still feeling light and casual.'
With a striped sofa serving as the anchor of your room, you can emphasize the East Hampton look further by introducing woven textures like rattan. Sandra also suggests adding a jute rug or cane accents to keep the look grounded and organic.
'Then mix in solid throw pillows or fine ticking stripes for a layered but cohesive look,' she says. 'Keep the rest of the palette soft – sand, seafoam, warm whites – to let the stripes shine without overwhelming the space. Stripes are a great way to get that “by the sea but tailored” feel – exactly what East Hampton style does best.'
