Wait – There's a Rattan Pendant Hidden at IKEA That's Genuinely Identical To The One In Eva Mendes And Ryan Gosling's Kitchen
You'd be forgiven for thinking IKEA's TORARED pendant hangs above Eva Mendes' chic kitchen island – I certainly did at first glance

The only thing I love more than catching glimpses inside celebrity kitchens is discovering that the furniture inside such beautiful spaces is from IKEA. Such is the case with Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling's chic white kitchen, where their pendant light holds a striking resemblance to the TORARED pendant at IKEA.
After much deliberation across the Homes & Gardens team, I concluded that the TORARED pendant (available at IKEA) is an exact match to the lights seen above the island in their kitchen.
The retro rattan texture, in its classic light-brown tone, is a defining feature in the otherwise white, minimal kitchen – and she loved it so much that she bought two. Doubling up on the TORARED's isn't a problem, however. At only $35 per piece, Eva has curated a stunning display for the grand total of $70. It's proof that the chicest kitchen lighting ideas can cost less than a meal out, when you shop strategically.

Thinking about another pendant over your kitchen island? Hanging a pair or trio of these rattan lights from Pottery Barn instantly brings a relaxed, layered texture to the space, adding warmth and an effortless, lived-in feel.

'It is wonderfully refreshing to see Eva Mendes’ kitchen accented by the TORARED pendant from IKEA,' comments Hebe Hatton, the head of Interior Design at Homes & Gardens.
'In a space that is otherwise crisp and minimal, the retro rattan adds a note of warmth and tactility, showing that even the most stylish kitchens do not need exclusive, high-end pieces. Doubling up on this $35 find, Eva demonstrates that thoughtful, accessible design can feel utterly luxe without the luxe price tag, a reiteration that great style is as much about curation as cost.'
Plus, Eva is not the only celebrity who loves IKEA. Last year, Sarah Jessica Parker similarly showed appreciation for their lighting, elevating her living room shelving with their KUDDLAVA pleated table lamp. Prior to that, we spotted the iconic KALLAX in Jared Leto's backdrop, styled with books and plants, as we all do.
Eva’s kitchen is proof that style and accessibility can genuinely coexist beautifully. With just a pair of $35 TORARED pendants, she has created a space that feels warm, curated, and beachy (while still keeping it chic). It reminds us that, even in celebrity homes, thoughtful choices rather than extravagant spending define a truly stylish kitchen island space.
