Its warmth also makes pink beige particularly useful in rooms that don't receive much natural light. ‘The warming undertones of pink beige are particularly suited to north- or west-facing rooms, which typically see less light,’ advises Jane Rockett, Co-Founder of Rockett St George. ‘In these spaces, cooling tones of crisp white, light blue, and bright green can feel impersonal and cold.’

There’s another reason this shade works so well: it can be treated almost like a neutral. Rather than dictating the rest of your scheme, pink beige provides a warm backdrop for natural materials, richer colors, and more decorative details.

‘Due to its close relationship with orange and brown shades, the color is mood-boosting without becoming overwhelming like many red shades,’ says Sarah Lloyd, Senior Brand Manager at Valspar. ‘On the other hand, with more muted and subtle tones, pink beige can become a good choice to enhance quiet confidence and serenity.’

Ruth Motteshead, Creative Director at Little Greene, agrees that softer pink-beige shades have plenty of decorating potential. ‘They are reminiscent of natural plaster shades, with earthy undertones that add warmth to a space to provide a color highlight or act as a neutral base for introducing bolder colors.’

For those who want a little more contrast, pink beige pairs beautifully with deeper, cooler shades. Andy Greenall, Creative Director at Paint & Paper Library, suggests combining it with teals, cool whites, darker blues and grays, or bringing in natural finishes and warmer neutrals for a richer, more layered look.

Perhaps that’s the appeal of pink beige right now. It offers a way to move beyond predictable neutrals without committing to a bold, statement-making color. Soft, warm, and endlessly adaptable, it’s a subtle way to make a kitchen feel more welcoming – and a little more interesting.
