Kendall Jenner has never been scared to take a risk, and the design of her home bar is no exception. Photos of the model and socialite's bar space reveal a surprising mustard, purple, black, and white color scheme.

Experts say this unusual color palette creates the perfect home bar idea. The purple from the William Abranowicz painting meshes stylishly with the black and white marble and the yellowish wood of Kendall's side table and barstool cushions.

Kathy Kuo, interior designer and CEO of Kathy Kuo Home says, 'With so many mahogany, black, white, and gray elements in this home bar design, it’s really nice to have a few pops of color in the wall art. The yellow and purple tones are in direct contrast, but it works well here since the surrounding colors are darker and more muted. Having the flowers in the vase on the bar match one of the paintings is the gorgeous finishing touch that ties the whole look together.'

She continues, 'Yellow has a bright and vivacious quality, which will bring warm energy to your home bar to welcome all who cross its path. Black exudes mystery and sophistication for an eye-catching home bar that sets the mood for an artful evening. Purple is associated with mysticism and creativity that livens up your home bar for fun and whimsical get-togethers with loved ones.

Furthermore, the experts say, the black and white marble backsplash enhances the cozy effects of the color scheme in Kendall's small home bar idea. Kathy Kuo states: 'There’s just something so bold and eye-catching about black-and-white veined marble. I love the way the natural stone looks in this home bar design – it’s organic modernism at its finest.'

Kathy adds, 'The dark – almost black – wood in the floors, ceiling beams, and lower bar cabinet frame the black-and-white marble element really beautifully as well.' The black and white add an easy sophistication to the color scheme.

Karen Loc continues, 'The monolithic black and white marble showcases the full beauty and drama of the stone. The veining seamlessly cascades across the slab and
accentuates the height of this small area. The high contrast of the black and white marble adds richness and depth to the bar. It catches your attention and draws you in.'

No matter the space, an original color combination can make all of the difference.
