Mario Lopez's house is a masterclass in Spanish Revival-meets-modern luxury – it's on the market for just under $6 million
The actor's home was built in 1929 by Peter Damm and has been carefully preserved, though it feels modern in its interior design

One of the most magnificent architectural wonders of Old Hollywood are the preserved, Spanish Revival homes that line the windy streets. Even more interesting is their rich history and current (and former) inhabitants: such is the case with Mario Lopez's 1929 build, Lorelei.
The luxurious, modern home has just hit the market for $5.995 million, and it is Spanish Revival at its finest. Spanning eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and 7,711 square feet of space.
Hand-painted Spanish tiles, Venetian walls, and intricate crown molding are just a few of the Old Hollywood-style features in this magnificent home, which was designed by Peter Damm (known for the first armored car). Let's take a closer look inside.
Upon entering the grand foyer, we are greeted by regal arches and soft, gray walls, while the monochromatic tiled floors give the space a luxe feel.
A burst of royal blue comes through the sitting area via accent chairs while the rest of the space is otherwise light and neutral with white walls, a white sofa, and an opulent chandelier.
The kitchen makes its case for decorating with gray with a matching island and slightly metallic seats.
The breakfast nook is a clear showstopper, with silver banquet seating, a crystal chandelier, and luxurious glass table.

The bedrooms, meanwhile, have a cozy, California casual-feel with exposed wood beams, high ceilings, white walls, and neutral bedding and carpeting.
The walk-in closet is something of a dream wardrobe, with plenty of storage, luxe lighting, and a central island.
The bathroom, meanwhile, plays with silver wall tiling, instantly elevating the small space.
Animal print makes a subtle statement in the living area, where a zebra chair coexists beautifully among a gray rug, cream curtains, and a wood ceiling beams.

More is definitely more when it comes to pattern this season – we're seeing all kind of motifs being given the catwalk treatment, but none more so than leopard print on armchairs. This piece is ideal for injecting personality into a space, and can enliven even the most featureless room.
More than cheap and cheerful, these budget-friendly H&M sheer panels are made from a high-quality woven linen and cotton blend with a multiway header so that they're easily adaptable for different rods or tracks.
If you want to make a big impact without having to repaint, a rug is the answer. With a simple palette, the Ameglia Charcoal Wool Rug holds a remarkable level of detail from its careful construction. Hand-loomed, the wool and rayon blend is undeniably soft underfoot. You'll only wish you bought one sooner.
Outdoor entertaining is made easy with wrap-around bench seating and sleek firepits.
The lap pool is perfect for swimming and lounging around thanks to some black and white seats.
Finally, the Spanish-tiled steps are intricate and illustrative, providing the perfect amount of color and design to the preserved home.
Mario Lopez's former home is listed with Craig Strong and Nancy Gerber at Compass.
