'Glass front cabinets are a wonderful design element because you really can work with them in a number of design styles – they're equally suited to a French country look as they are to a coastal beach one,' says Kathy Kuo Home founder & CEO, Kathy Kuo.

'I like that they add just a touch of formality and tradition while also leaving a blank canvas for styling the interior shelves to express your personality and what brings you joy with home decor!' Other designers echo these sentiments, noting that while these cabinets evoke a traditional feel, they are actually quite contemporary. This spring, they are particularly effective for transitioning a kitchen's energy by reflecting the increasing natural light.

'They complement modern kitchens by adding a sense of lightness and openness, but they also bring sophistication to classic or transitional kitchens,' notes Aurora Espinoza, designer at Kutchenhaus Doral and nobilia North America. 'Their adaptability allows them to fit into any design style, making them a timeless choice.'

When deciding how to style these units, Espinoza suggests approaching them much like you would decorate open shelving.

'When styling glass-front cabinets, internal lighting can make a huge difference,' she explains. 'It adds warmth and a touch of elegance, highlighting the items inside. Depending on your kitchen style, you could also experiment with textured or tinted glass to add an extra layer of visual interest. Make sure to keep the contents organized and balanced to maintain a clean, harmonious look that elevates the entire design.'

Kelly Ripa's setup demonstrates this perfectly; her cabinets are well-lit and impeccably tidy. By featuring thoughtfully spaced glassware rather than overstuffed shelves, the display feels airy and intentional – a perfect look for the bright, clear days of 2026.
