Meghan Markle's California roots have come through in her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which was filmed on location in Montecito – and while the elegant, minimalist home itself is a set, it gives us a good indication of what her interior style leans towards.
Over on her Instagram, however, we noticed a snap of her scenic backyard, and couldn't help but admire the California Casual set-up, featuring oak dining chairs adorning a white-tableclothed dining area. It's simply stunning – and easily replicable.
The chairs in question? They are the (aptly named) Jenni Kayne Home Montecito Dining Chairs, and they are as decorative as they are functional.

Ah, beautiful bamboo. To channel the essence of a hotel patio, Jake designed the Abbott melamine tableware to bring vintage flair to your al fresco dinners under the sun or stars.
Sophisticated with a modern touch, the Granada Handwoven Indoor-Outdoor Rug is a great way to create a zone in your garden. Anchoring your living room design, or adding dimensional texture to your patio furniture, its unique woven pattern lends subtle contrast without overwhelming your space.
This garden bench looks so much more expensive than it really is. Woven with rust-and weather-resistant materials, this is sure to be a long-lasting fixture on your patio for comfortable lounging.
Handcrafted from solid White Oak frames with a natural finish and handwoven Danish paper cord, these chairs are inspired by a vintage piece sourced for the Jenni Kayne Ranch. The oak gives the seats a weathered yet refined look, perfect for a relaxed outdoor dining area.
California Casual is all about creating a peaceful yet elevated atmosphere, so we would recommend pairing these seats with natural materials and a light color palette. Think linen napkins, rattan placemats, and handmade ceramics lining a table (making for an excellent spring tablescape idea).
Comfort is also key with California Casual, so ensure that hard seats, like the oak chairs Meghan has, have soft cushions to balance them out. While neutrals are preferred in this style, nature-inspired colors such as terracotta and ochre would fit in wonderfully to an outdoor dining scheme.
