A beautifully styled bookcase with curated decor items or a gallery wall of motivational prints can add visual interest and give the room a more inviting energy.'

She continues, 'Stick to a cohesive color palette to avoid the space feeling overly cluttered. Soft, neutral tones create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, while pops of color can add energy and creativity to the room.'

'The right lighting can dramatically shift the feel of your library, making it more inviting for you and any guests,' Nina explains. 'Layer ambient lighting, such as warm-toned overhead lights or sconces, with task lighting like a desk lamp. To make the room feel more communal, consider adding a stylish floor lamp next to your conversational seating area, or hang pendant lights above a communal table for a cozy, café-like vibe.'

She continues, 'Use dimmable lights so you can adjust the brightness depending on the task at hand. Softer, warmer lights are perfect for informal discussions or brainstorming sessions, while brighter light works well during focused work periods.'
