Stanley Tucci's made as much a name for himself in the kitchen as he has in films, so it's no surprise that the actor and foodie has a stunning home bar.

After catching a glimpse of his corner bar space on Instagram, we haven't been able to stop thinking about his Old Money-style, glass-front cabinets: a chic and practical method of storage that beautifully contrasts his cadet blue-painted cabinets and colorful glassware.

In addition to providing safe enclosure of delicate dishes and glasses, the glass-fronted cabinets evoke a traditional, glamorous ambiance – made even more aesthetically apropriate in a home bar area.

According to experts, glass cabinets are a timeless trend in kitchens and beyond thanks to their versatility and accessibility.

'Glass front cabinets have been a design staple for generations, and it is easy to see why,' designer Nina Lichtenstein says. 'They strike the perfect balance between function and aesthetics, keeping storage practical while adding openness and character to a space. Whether used to display heirloom dishware, create visual contrast, or lighten up a kitchen, these cabinets work across a wide range of design styles.'

Nina says that they work particularly well in traditional kitchens for the Old Money look, as well as farmhouse kitchens and modern, industrial spaces.

'In traditional and transitional kitchens, glass front cabinets add sophistication,' she explains. 'Often framed with detailed molding or mullions, they offer the perfect opportunity to showcase fine china, elegant glassware, or even a thoughtfully arranged collection of cookbooks. Paired with timeless finishes like white, soft grays, or warm wood tones, they bring a refined, curated feel to the space.'

Regardless of the style of your home bar (or kitchen), Nina says that glass front cabinets are a failsafe option for those looking to brighten up their spaces, as well as display their favorite glassware and accessories.

'What makes glass front cabinets so timeless is their versatility,' she explains. 'They work in bright and open kitchens just as well as in smaller spaces that need extra lightness. Whether your style leans classic, modern, or somewhere in between, they add personality and refinement, proving that some design elements never go out of style.'
