This new robot mower brings cutting-edge technology to automated lawn care, giving you a professional finish with zero effort
Landing in 2026, the Roborock RockMow S1 is packed with intelligence to perfect edges, dodge obstacles, and take on the most challenging of slopes
As we approach the colder months, it's the perfect opportunity to reflect on our gardens and think about what we want to do differently next year. A priority many of us will have is to not spend so much time on mundane tasks that take up our precious time, like meticulously trimming lawn edges for a pristine finish. This is where Roborock's latest endeavour comes to the rescue: the RockMow S1.
Named as the world's number one robot vaccum brand in 2024, Roborock is embarking on a brand new era by bringing its market-leading robotics out of the home and into the garden. Its first ever robot mower, the RockMow S1, brings a pro-grade lawn mower to typical home lawns, providing a fully automated lawn care experience so homeowners can simply sit back and relax.
With availability and pricing to be announced in early 2026, Roborock's new model promises to deliver not only a manicured lawn, but also the luxury of free time, removing the need for manual mowing and trimming. No matter the size, uneven terrain, or shape of a lawn, the RockMow S1 is designed to take on any challenge expertly, no grass blade left uncut.
No slope too steep, no passage too narrow
The announcement of the RockMow S1 is good news for gardeners who face the common problem of trying to perfect lawn edging, which can often be a strenuous 30-minute weekly task.
This robot mower introduces a new industry-leading edge-to-edge cutting technology that can cut lawns as close as 3cm to walls and boundaries, eliminating the need for manual edging at all.
It even has AI-powered boundary recognition which distinguishes between safe edges to approach (like walls and raised beds) and hazard edges (loose borders or drop edges), ensuring precise and safe trimming that results in a professional finish with zero hassle.
Even those with narrow gardens and challenging layouts are looked after by the RockMow S1, where it can take on passages as narrow as 0.7 meters and slopes up to 45%.
This AI gardening technology redefines the robot mower as a smart garden assistant, creating a completely hands-free experience for homeowners who can spend their newfound time with loved ones, indulging in leisure, and actually enjoying their outdoor space rather than spending all their time trying to keep it neat.
A lawn that looks after itself
As for time-efficiency, the RockMow S1 covers 1,000 m² in 12 hours, taking care of lawn maintenance needs and giving gardeners the chance to tick off other essential jobs on their spring or fall gardening checklist.
Aesthetics haven't been ignored in the function of the RockMow S1 either, where it's possible to mow stripes into your lawn at the click of a button. Controlled through the Roborock app, users can set lawn patterns, cutting heights, and even speeds for different areas.
This is all while aligning with eco-friendly garden ideas, creating no emissions, producing minimal energy waste, and having a quiet electrical system that won't disturb garden wildlife.
The right essential gardening tools can shift your garden from being a constant source of chores to an oasis to relax in. There's no doubt the RockMow S1 will take all your mowing needs off your plate and deliver that luscious green carpet you've been dreaming of.
