You get a lot of rug for your money in this new launch, with huge area designs all under $350

Big rugs usually have big price tags. They are an investment piece that can take up as much visual room as a couch, or a bed, or a dining table. So naturally, I am always on the hunt for area rugs that look chic, are good quality, and don't break the bank, because they are a rarity. And this time, my recommendation comes with celebrity endorsement on top, too.

Drew Barrymore has just added to her Beautiful by Drew range at Walmart, and while all the pieces are stylish and at a good price, it's the rugs (and how much rug you get for your money) that caught my eye. Even the largest style – the 9' x 12' Tufted Thyme Green Geometric Stripe Indoor Area Rug – sells for less than $350.

Rich in texture, vibrant by design, abundant in sizes, and incredibly affordable, Drew Barrymore's rugs deserve your attention. Most are made from jute – a style that's become a well-loved rug trend by interior designers and consumers alike. But alongside this much-loved material is an unexpected color pairing, a deep but vivid green that feels fresh amongst all the moody greens that we are seeing so much of right now.

It's not just large area rugs that make up the collection, there are plenty of sizes to choose from – most of the designs have at least two size options. While most of the line up is made from jute, a hardwearing material that's great for high traffic areas like entryways and kitchens, there's a soft microfiber design too.

A rug can be the perfect seasonal switch-up, less of a commitment than a couch but more impactful than a throw pillow. So if you are looking to add some layered textures to your room going into cozy season, this collection has plenty of affordable options. I would pick a large area rug like the Jute Trellis Diamond Rug, and then layer it with something like a Persian rug or a sheep skin to add extra softness underfoot.
