It’s that time again: the bittersweet slide from summer into fall. Sad, because vacation's over. Happy, because we’re back to coats, cider, and long drives just to admire the leaves. Everyone’s back in town, which means hosting season is officially on – and McGee & Co.’s ongoing Labor Day sale (through September 2nd) arrives with perfect timing.

Headlining the event is the newly launched (and also on sale) Fall 2025 collection, full of the expected crowd-pleasers for elevating your fall decor – sculptural side tables, iron-legged ottomans, and other photogenic furniture. But the real magic is in the details: a lidded glass condiment dish that looks like it’s been passed down, or hotel-grade bed sheets that let you offer a five-star sleep without breaking a sweat.

So Shea McGee’s ahead of us all. Again. For the timing, for the curation, and for solving the fall table decor and seasonal hosting conundrums we didn’t know we had. Below is my edit of everything I have my eye on to get my most-seen spaces ready for the influx of guests that come with this time of year.

I might be mourning for summer, but the thought of getting my home ready for fall and hosting is helping me let go of the longer, warmer days. The Labor Day sales are some of my favorite to shop for that very reason; they get me excited for the change in season and the change in decor that comes with it.
