I used to go to Michael's just for craft supplies, now it's my favorite store for affordable seasonal decor – these under $20 finds prove why
Leaf-shaped catchalls, fall-themed pillows, and decorative pumpkins, all for under $20. Okay Michael's, I see you

Fun fact about me: I'm a crafting enthusiast. Embroidery, sewing, jewelry making – you name it, I've done it. Because of my passion for making things, I am a regular at Michael's. At my local Michael's, the sales associates and I are practically on a first-name basis.
Most of the time when I shop at Michael's, I make a beeline for the craft section – what can I say, I know what I want. But just last weekend, I got distracted. As I walked into the store, I couldn't help but notice the magnificent arrangement of fall decor in my periphery. I noticed decorative pumpkins, fall-themed table decor, and even pillows in fall color schemes.
About a half an hour and a cart full of fall-themed decorations later, I came to the realization that, because of my tunnel vision for all things arts and crafts, I'd been ignoring all of the stylish and affordable seasonal decor finds that Michael's has to offer. And I can't let that happen to you, dear reader.
9 stylish fall buys
Below, find my favorite fall home decor picks from Michael's fall collections, titled 'Give Thanks' and 'Heirloom Harvest'. Not only are these decorations so cute for fall, but they're all under $20, too. It doesn't get much better than that!
This trinket tray was one of the first pieces that I added to my cart while shopping in Michael's fall home decor section. Even though it is small, it's such a stylish tabletop accessory. I just love its leaf shape and gold finish. I plan on using this as a jewelry catchall for my bedside table this fall.
In my opinion, gathering baskets are a quintessential household decoration for fall. This one is made from woven rattan and features a handle for ease of movement. Use it to hold a faux floral display, spare blankets, or logs by the fire. Its texture and color can add some natural elegance to any room.
I'm a big fan of thoughtful little details in home decor, and decorative bottle stoppers are a prime example. I mean, why use a regular cork when you can use a cute, fall-themed cork instead? This set of two features a turkey and a pumpkin – perfect for corking bottles of wine during your dinner parties this season.
Move over, wreaths. Hanging baskets full of fall foliage is the newfound way to decorate your front door for fall. This woven basket is such a chic pick – it doesn't scream fall, but its dark color and tastefully woven design can benefit a fall-themed door display. And if not used on the door, consider hanging this in your kitchen year-round to hold fruits or vegetables.
If you like to go all-out when decorating for the seasons, why not swap an ordinary hanging rack for a cute, fall-themed alternative? This rack is complete with five copper-colored pumpkin hooks – ideal for holding hats, scarves, or other lightweight accessories. This could be such a fun addition to your mudroom this fall.
If you like to keep things simple when decorating your home for fall, this pumpkin is for you. It's made from woven water hyacinth, which gives it a naturally elegant look. Since it's small, it won't overwhelm your space. Instead, it'll tastefully elevate your home for the autumn season. Style it on any tabletop surface – from your entryway cabinet to your coffee table or even a bathroom shelf.
I love the idea of using a decorative pitcher to hold flowers. With its vintage-inspired design, this pitcher could be a stylish modern rustic decoration to incorporate on a mantel or bookshelf this fall. Fill it with flowers to add some colorful appeal to your home.
Taper candle holders are my new favorite way to decorate a table. Not only do they add dimension and decorative appeal to the table setting, but they also provide a spot for candlelight. This taper candle holder is grand in its design – it could definitely be a statement centerpiece on your table during hosting season this fall and winter.
The fall is the season of being cozy, so it's important you decorate your couch with comfortable accessories that feature fall colors and autumnal motifs. This plush pillow is a perfect example. Complete in shades of brown and finished with an all-over leaf design, this pillow is perfect for dressing up your couch this fall.
