I'll always be a fan of Brooklinen's bed sheets, but its new collection might be the best yet – it's perfect for a lived-in look

Brooklinen's new Washed Classic range promises to be even softer than the brand's bestselling bed sheets

I always like to overhaul my bedding when September comes. Blame it on that back-to-school feeling, or the encroaching fall weather, when I just want to hunker down and get cozy. When it comes to treating myself to the best bed sheets, I'm looking for comfort, softness and durability, and the new Washed Classic range from Brooklinen seem to tick all of those boxes.

This new launch sees the Classic Percale Sheets – a Brooklinen bestseller – get a cozy upgrade. Available in a range of earthy hues, the Washed Classic percale sheets boast a 'softer, lived-in feel' according to the Brooklinen site. Expect a crisp, clean look with a little more texture than the matte finish you'd associate with traditional percale bed linen. This is exactly what I want in my bedding. While I enjoy the crisp look in a hotel, at home it's all about comfort and ease.

We're loyal fans of Brooklinen here at Homes & Gardens – in fact, we think that it's one of the best places to buy bedding. And while Brooklinen's August 2025 collection was all about retro prints, the Washed Classic sheets are a pared-back, no-fuss option that's perfect for fall.

Crafted from 100% Long-Staple, 270 thread-count cotton, the sheets are designed to be silky from the very first use, with no pre-softening required. If you're gearing up for college, the Washed Classic move-in bundle would make a brilliant last-minute addition to your dorm room checklist for 2025.

'Brooklinen is my go-to store for bedding and bath linen,' says our former Sleep Editor, Emilia. 'You can shop around the specialist sleep stores, but you won't find a greater breadth of products, sizes, materials, and colorways.'

Whether you're after creamy neutrals, pale green, or soft blue, you'll find a set of Washed Classic sheets that catch your eye – you can shop flat sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases, or stock up with sets. I'm coveting the Washed Classic hardcore sheet bundle in the earthy Oak Chambray shade; it has everything I'll need for a luxurious night's sleep as the nights draw in this fall.

While shopping around for bedding, I've done plenty of research – including what bedding material is best, and what percale actually is, so that you can be in-the-know when you're shopping, too.
