I Was Unsure About Pantone’s Color of the Year, but Joanna Gaines’s Chic Stoneware Table Decor Has Changed My Mind
Elegant, serene, and utterly timeless, bring the calming beauty of 'Cloud Dancer' into your home with these chic pieces
I'll always admire the look of a minimalist tablescape, but I have to admit that I don't often lean towards a neutral color palette. After Pantone's selection of 'cloud dancer' as its 2026 Color of the Year, however, I've been keen to experiment with some ivory shades, and I think I've found the perfect opportunity: Joanna Gaines' latest drop from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia is brimming with sleek, white tableware.
Crisp white table linens and classic porcelain dinnerware provide an easy way to channel the cloud white theme, but Joanna's new collection offers a more rustic take. The first piece I spotted was the Target Stoneware Teapot, which is finished in a gorgeous sour cream shade – and it pairs perfectly with the etched Target Stoneware Coffee Mugs. I might be wary of neutrals, but these elegant pieces are convincing me that neutral shades can still make an elegant statement.
Bring some serenity to your kitchen with Hearth & Hand's stoneware oil and vinegar set and utensil holder
Initially, I was drawn in by Joanna Gaines' pastel tableware at Target, and I love that she's experimenting with spring-inspired colors like sage green and pale blue. After taking a look at the more muted pieces from Hearth & Hand, however, I've been totally won over by the minimalist look.
The beauty of neutral pieces, of course, is that they create the perfect backdrop for any scheme, so I can always add a few pops of color into the mix. With a new year stretching out ahead of me, I know there will be plenty of time to play with bold hues and busy patterns – but for now, I'm embracing the simplicity of cloud dancer-inspired tableware and layering up gorgeous off-white shades. Check out my favorite Hearth & Hand pieces below.

Thanks to the angular silhouette and textured surface of these shakers, I'd say they boast a real artisanal look. Pair them with the stoneware oil and vinegar set for a stylish tabletop arrangement.
Bring some cottagecore charm to your table with this delightful mug, which features a tiny heart motif and rustic rim. You'll spot more subtly scalloped detaling, too.
While I'm tempted by Joanna's solid green cloth napkins, this off-white option has jumped to the top of my wish list. The floral trim adds a touch of whimsy to the polished 'cloud dancer' aesthetic.
I can't resist stocking up on gorgeous serveware, and I adore this glossy oval tray. It's a simple but refined take on the scalloped decor trend, and I think it's utterly timeless.
I've been slowly perfecting Joanna Gaines' famous Silo Cookie recipe, and this handsome cake stand provides the perfect excuse to bake another batch; I can't wait to show it off on my dining table.
If you're unsure about the pure white, blank-canvas kind of tablescape, I'd recommend opting for creamy white tableware with subtle detailing – just like these elegantly embossed salad plates.
