Can't face the festive frenzy? I'm staying stress-free by shopping my Christmas tableware early – West Elm's drop has landed at the perfect time
West Elm's Christmas tableware preview is packed with magical pieces – it might be September, but why wait?

I can't hear jingle bells just yet, but Christmas isn't far off (just 93 days away, in fact!), so I'm shopping around for my decor before the rush sets in.
Fortunately, I've already gathered plenty of Christmas decorating ideas from my favorite brands – and when it comes to the tableware in West Elm's Christmas collection, I'm making a lengthy wish list (and checking it twice).
I love to get into the festive spirit during the fall, and it isn't just for the sake of getting ahead; I simply don't want to wait until December for that Christmas magic to arrive. I've picked out more than a few of Anthropologie's Christmas decorations for the fall, but I'm starting to think about my holiday hosting and the big day itself, and West Elm's Christmas tableware is absolutely perfect for creating a cozy, homespun vibe.
From colorful classics (like these Decorative Paper Tabletop Trees) to glittering show-stoppers (like this Rhinestone Garland), there's so much breadth to the West Elm collection. After a deep-dive into the collection, it's the more whimsical pieces that have won me over; the Holiday Skiers Stoneware Rectangle Platter for example, feels charming and yet sophisticated for serving up charcuterie or mince pies, and I love the Fika Stoneware collection with its Swedish-inspired folk design.
So, while Christmas is still a few months away, I can't think of anything I'd rather do than shop for festive decor right now – especially when it's as chic as the tableware in West Elm's Christmas collection. I've curated my favorites below.
Shop West Elm's Christmas tableware
Add a subtly seasonal touch to your table with these embroidered napkins. I'd pair them with loads of natural foliage and brass accents.
I adore the idea of a retro-inspired Christmas table, and this runner offers a perfect starting point. I'd accessorize with some green decorative paper tabletop trees and add red ribbons as napkin rings.
With its elegant scalloped rim and charming holiday-inspired motif, this serving bowl will tie your Christmas tablescape together perfectly. Pile high with seasonal citrus fruit and nuts.
These gold-tipped glasses are the epitome of understated luxury – their sleek angular design and gently tapered stems make them truly unique.
I might be partial to the retro look, but I can never say no to a dash of glamor, and these glittering table accessories have caught my eye.
These coasters would provide a wonderful finishing touch to any table setting, but I'm stockpiling a few to use as stocking fillers – they'd make such thoughtful gifts.
I adore these festive bird napkin rings with their hand-etched bird design, which feel pared back, yet special enough for a festive table.
Before Christmas day arrives, I'll be showing off these taper candle holders on my mantel and bookshelves. They're ideal for a Thanksgiving table, too.
Subtly sparkly and utterly timeless, these tabletop trees can be displayed throughout your home. I'd reserve the larger version for mantel and use the smaller trees dotted around the table.
Looking for more timeless Christmas decorating ideas? I can't get enough of Magnolia's 2025 Christmas tableware collection – it's bursting with vintage charm.
