Sprawling across almost three acres of the prestigious Holmby Hills neighborhood, Max Azria's opulent home is one of the most fashionable properties listed on the West Coast.
The $85 million estate is architect Paul Williams' most significant original creation – complete with over 30,000 square feet of living spaces and 60 rooms in total. While its expansive architectural features are something to behold, the interiors are equally as majestic – and crown this fashionable paradise as one of the world's best homes. Here, we take a tour around the astounding property.
Max Azria is among the most influential fashion designers of recent decades after founding the contemporary women's clothing label BCBGMAXAZRIA. He was also the CEO of the international fashion house, BCBG Max Azria Group, which owns over 20 fashion brands. Max lived on his Californian estate with his fashion designer wife Lubov Azria and their three children until his death in 2019.
With a history that stretches back to the glittering 1930s, the Azria Estate oozes a certain Hollywood glamor through its historical DNA and timeless furnishings. From its grand dual staircase foyer with its floor-to-ceiling Swarovski chandelier to its metallic leaf draping from the living room ceiling – it exhibits some of the most extravagant interior design ideas on the West Coast.
Beyond the monochromatic living and dining rooms, other sophisticated spaces include a chef's kitchen with stylish lighting fixtures and the most fashionable playroom in Los Angeles.
Many rooms, including the bedroom below, are designed to showcase the verdant beauty of the sought-after Holmby Hills through its large windows and patio doors that invite the sun-drenched district inside its walls. Plus, there is an additional 6000 square foot structure that includes a gold ceiling dome library and a grand theater for the ultimate post-dinner party entertainment.
While each of the home's 60 rooms exudes an unrivaled sophistication, the manicured garden is just as spectacular, with its glass-walled tennis court that sits alongside the Moroccan bathhouse and authentic hammam.
We're also stealing exotic garden ideas from the vibrantly-hued Japanese Garden and ornate blue-tiled swimming pool, which acts as a sanctuary amid this star-studded postcode. There is also an elegant French courtyard, because this was a fashion designer's home, after all.
The Azria Estate is currently listed with Partridge Estates Group for $85 million.
