I gifted this beautiful Philips air fryer to my mom – she loves it, but I regret not buying it with the rare discount

There's still $70 off in the December sales

As a food writer and trained chef, I pride myself on giving the best foodie presents. I gifted my mom a Philips dual-drawer air fryer this fall, along with a sleek glass oil spray bottle. It’s been a hit, and she absolutely loves it. However, I'm feeling a pang of regret for not purchasing it in the December sales.

It's my job to track air fryer prices all year round, so I know that this $70 discount on the Philips Airfryer 3000 at Amazon, is a rare, valuable deal.

I actually crowned this Philips model as the best dual-drawer air fryer in my Best Air Fryer 2024 guide. With a large, 9.5-quart capacity and thoughtful dual-basket design, it’s perfect for tired or busy people. You can synchronize your meal, so two dishes are hot and ready at the same time – a feature that has made it a favorite in my mom’s kitchen. Really, you can't put a price on a present that makes your loved ones happy.

Why I bought this air fryer at full price

What I love most about this Philips air fryer is how intuitive it is. There’s no need to sift through a thick manual or figure out complicated settings – it’s designed for novices but works like it was made for professionals.

When I took it to the test kitchen with my fellow tester Laura, we were very impressed with the crispy, delicious results.

Philips has also made clean-up a breeze. Both air fryer baskets are dishwasher safe, which is a lifesaver for anyone who dreads post-dinner chores. They’re a bit bulky, but if you have a dishwasher, you can avoid the sink altogether.

My mom loves it and has been experimenting with recipes. She tends to use the smaller basket for fish sticks or salmon fillets, and the larger one for fries or roasted vegetables. Although, she tells me that her attempt at roasted aubergine didn't go well (I agree, this is often a bit dried out in the air fryer without a marinade) however, other than that, this appliance was a major success!

This is a premium air fryer. Clearly, I thought it was worth the spend, even without a sale on. The two drawer design is perfect for busy or tired people who want to cook a whole meal in one appliance. It doesn't even come with instructions, because the whole appliance is so intuitive and easy to use.
