When you've invested in a scent you really, truly love, lighting a candle is one of life's simple luxuries. It's one of my favorite quick and easy ways to lift and refresh any space, bring a sense of cozy calm, or add a touch of everyday indulgence to my home.

As the resident home fragrance expert here at Homes & Gardens, however, I've learned the hard way just how much tunneling can affect the experience of burning a candle, not to mention how much wax can be left unmelted and unusable. Fortunately, there's a fix, and it comes in the form of this Candle Warmer Lamp, available at Amazon.

When in need of a quick way to make my home smell nice, a candle is always my first port of call, particularly when guests are on the way. But when hosting late into the evening, or between the kitchen and garden, a lit candle can be a bothersome extra to remember to blow out at the end of the night, and blowing it out too early almost always spells candle tunneling.

More generally, too, sometimes a flame-free, low-maintenance option, that's even simpler to use than my best essential oil diffuser, is a welcome alternative. For this, I've currently got my eye on the Candle Warmer Lamp, available at Amazon, which allows you to enjoy mood-boosting spring aromas, without the hassle and worry of wicks, flames, and melted wax.

'I absolutely love the GODONLIF Candle Warmer Lamp,' reads a recent review. 'It’s both beautiful and incredibly functional. The design is elegant and looks like a piece of decor rather than just a candle accessory, so it fits perfectly in my home.'

It's dimmable, too – just keep in mind that the brighter the light, the stronger the fragrance, and the faster your candle wax will be melted and evaporated.

'The dimmable light is one of my favorite features because you can easily adjust the brightness to create the perfect cozy atmosphere,' the review continues, and it also includes a timer option that's described as 'super convenient.'

'I can turn it on and not worry about remembering to shut it off later,' they add. 'It warms candles evenly and fills the room with fragrance without having to light a flame, which feels much safer.' With a cleverly adjustable height, it's also suitable for use with almost any candle.

Offering a safe and clean ambiance for households, apartments, and offices, it's never been easier to enjoy non-toxic ways to make your home smell nice, without the air pollution of smoke and danger of flames.

All that's left for me to do is add it to cart and stock up on my favorite candles for scent-scaping this spring.
