This 1 versatile cleaning tool has transformed my kitchen and bathroom cleaning – it’s a total gamechanger for quick and effortless cleaning
As a person in chronic pain with a weak grip, it's become essential in my home

I love scrubbing my house clean, but there is one thing getting in the way of that. My health.
With chronic pain and weakness in my wrists and grip during flares, the HOTO electric spin scrubber, available from Amazon, has become my favorite and most essential cleaning tool, saving me time and physical effort whilst also bringing the best cleaning results I've seen.
It's now a key part of my cleaning routine in the kitchen, bathroom, and beyond.
Why I love using an electric scrubber
In the same way an electric toothbrush saves you time, effort, and cleans better than a manual one, the same applies to an electric scrubbing brush, making it an essential cleaning tip, in my view.
This one comes with nine heads for different surfaces, and is ergonomic and comfortable to hold and use. Even with my wrist and joint issues (I have a genetic connective tissue disorder), it doesn’t cause pain or send painful vibrations up my arm, which has been a problem for me in the past.
Since getting this one, I've used to it to blast tea and coffee stains from my stainless steel sink, clean the grout in my shower, and get rid of hard water stains in my bathroom, especially in my shower, as well as scrubbing pots and pans I usually leave for my husband and his brute strength force.
The speed the HOTO spins (300 rotations per minute) also cuts down the amount of time I have to spend scrubbing or contorting into an awkward position for a thorough clean. It's also not so fast that it can damage surfaces, making it perfect for use on multiple types.
If you suffer pain, fatigue, or chronic illness like me, having tools like the HOTO, available from Amazon, that make things quicker and easier is an essential part of successful adaptive pacing when cleaning.
I’ve used it when cleaning my home with baking soda, dish soap, and harsher commercial cleaning products without any issue across any of its heads. I particularly like the stiff bristle brush head, which has, over months of use, been indestructible.
What to shop
This long-arm version of the HOTO electric spin scrubber comes with six brush heads and is waterproof too, making indoor and outdoor cleaning a cinch. The telescoping arm means you no longer have to bend down or reach up to clean the areas usually out of reach. Use the dome one for cleaning the bath.
Tidy up your cleaning essentials and keep things organized with this handy under-sink organizer. It's two-tiered, and the trays pull out for easy access. This comes in a twin pack, as well as offering alternative dimensions to fit most cabinets.
Even with an electric scrubbing brush alleviating the aches, pains, and efforts of scrubbing for prolonged periods, every home needs a manual scrubbing brush for those tricky corners and tiny gaps you can't get into otherwise.
You can use this all over your home. It's gentle, effective, and works to tackle even the toughest grime and stuck-on stains with ease. It has a nice rhubarb fragrance too, unlike harsher cleaners that leave a chemical smell behind.
Use it on its own, add it to water for a natural cleaning paste, or use it with vinegar. Baking soda is non-toxic, safe to use around pets, extremely versatile, and effective for cleaning all manner of surfaces, spills, or stains around the home.
Unscented, mild, NON-GMO, vegan, and great for cleaning all over the home, this pure Castile soap can replace your dish soap, laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, and several other cleaning items. It's a fully biodegradable plant oil-based soap that's good for the planet as well as your house.
I’m still a big fan of manual crevice scrubbing brushes for awkward, slim gaps and corners, but the biggest change I've made in my home cleaning is using my DIY essential oil cleaning spray across my home as a versatile and non-toxic cleaning spray.
It works on glass, mirrors, kitchen countertops, door handles, stainless steel, and so much more, helping make my home less toxic.
