This 'Must-Have' Dyson Air Purifier Is Compact, Quiet, and Banishes Smells in Minutes – It's Perfect for Small Homes

It's one of the quietest air purifiers I've ever (not) heard and the $50-off deal ends soon

Being in a small home means that, not only are you limited on space, but it also doesn't take long for the house to become stuffy. Dust, cooking, and cleaning all contribute to indoor air pollution, which, if left unchecked, isn't great for your health.

Instead of taking up precious space with a bulky air purifier, Dyson's new quiet and compact HushJet, discounted by $50 for a limited time, is designed to cleanse smaller homes without eating up floor space.

Almost-silent operation, a compact 9-inch diameter, and whole-room coverage for spaces up to 203 square feet – the HushJet is perfect for small homes. It captures allergens, pollutants, gases, and odors.

The Dyson HushJet Is the Quiet, Space-Saving Solution for Poor Indoor Air Quality

So quiet it's almost inaudible, with whole-room coverage in a compact size, the Dyson HushJet is ideal for small spaces.

As a small-space dweller myself, I know how selective we have to be to make sure our homes don't quickly become cluttered. Floor space is valuable, and taking up a big chunk of it with a large, and often unsightly air purifier doesn't seem that tempting.

That's why Dyson's new compact purifier is so ideal for smaller homes. At just 9'' wide in diameter, it minimizes how 'in the way' these useful appliances can occasionally feel. And importantly, it's stylish, as all Dyson purifiers are.

But while Dyson's tower fan purifiers are great for big homes, the HushJet doesn't need nearly as much space. It can be placed on a coffee table, in the corner of a room, or at the end of the bed without obstructing your walkways or the natural Feng Shui of your home.

And not only that, when I saw the HushJet in action just two weeks ago, I was seriously impressed by how 'hushed' it really is. I was in a quiet room – no music playing, no AC whirring in the background – and at the end of the session, after we'd finished discussing the new Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai and Dyson PencilVac, the Dyson team let us know that it had been running the entire time.

This is because Dyson took design notes from jet engines' star-shaped hush kit that reduces airflow noise.

I've tested four air purifiers for Homes & Gardens, and use them every day in my home, and I've never been fortunate enough to own one that's so quiet you don't notice that it's running.

Even my Shark NeverChange MAX makes an ever-so-slightly-irritating whirring sound on its lowest setting. When I use the air purifier in my bedroom for my allergies and asthma, it works like a treat, but my ears do get a bit irked after a while, especially when it's running overnight.

That's why I'm already considering upgrading to the Dyson HushJet as my new bedroom purifier, to free up a little more space, enjoy quieter purifying, and add a visual design moment to my room.

And as I've tested other Dyson purifiers such as the Dyson Purifier Cool TP09, I know how effectively and rapidly they can purify a room. The best Dyson vacuums top our best vacuums guides again and again, as Dyson evidently has a strong grasp on how to generate significant airflow in a compact design.

Purifying rooms up to 203 square feet, the HushJet can capture allergens such as pollen and dust, but also gases and odors, thanks to its activated charcoal filter. So whether it's pet smells, cooking gas, or general household stuffiness – the HushJet can take care of it, releasing fresh, breathable air back into your space.

And considering it costs $100s less than other Dyson purifiers, especially now it's a further $50 cheaper, the HushJet still has comprehensive air quality sensors. This means it can automatically adjust its airflow speed depending on when it's needed.

Being able to set-and-forget it means you'll be improving your air quality without having to think. Cooking, dusting or cleaning? The HushJet will amp up the purification, then return to quieter levels when it isn't needed.

At its highest speed, where it purifies up to 18 gallons of air per second, it still only reaches 41dB of noise – not far off the gentle hum of a refrigerator.

So, if you live in a small space and want to breathe clean air and protect your health, this is one for you. I'd act fast before it's more expensive again.

The Dyson HushJet is discounted to $299.99 for a limited time, with the offer 'ending soon'.
