If part of your Mother’s Day gift is to cook a meal from scratch, the last thing you want is to have all your precious time together eaten up with endless washing up.

Since getting my hands on the Caraway Food Storage Set, I have said goodbye to all of my plastic food containers and my mixing bowls, which were a necessary part of the prep, freezing, and cooking or reheating.

Hosting is a joy, but the excessive washing of the dishes is not. And in order to get everything onto the tablescape of your dreams without disrupting your theme this Mother’s Day, it’s rare that you’re able to take your delicious bake from the oven straight to the table. That usually means a transfer of food from an oven dish to beautiful serveware.

That’s actually why the Caraway Food Storage Set I have been testing at home for four months has become one of my favorite upgrades for creating a non-toxic home. It strips back unnecessary chores, including excessive washing up.

Even baked-on food comes off with one swipe of a damp sponge, which makes such a difference following years of standing at the sink and scrubbing oven trays, or having to pass on the task to my husband, as I am disabled and limited in how long I can stand up.

And when I tested the set at the table on my mother-in-law recently, she was impressed. A lady of impeccable style, she commented on the lovely look of my Peracotta set from Caraway, which has a smooth, almost-matte finish, and beautiful storage organizers included.

You can also impress the precious mom figure in your life, and get them a gift too, as the heritage cookware brand is currently offering a free Airtight Duo with a value of $125 value on any orders above $675.

If you’ve been thinking of upgrading to some of the best non-toxic cookware, this might be the time to strike while the iron is hot, as there are limited-time bundles with up to $695 off now.

What Shoppers Say

Lisa H’s five-star review on the site commended the set, explaining, ‘It keeps food fresh and is an easy clean up!’

Another happy shopper, Patricia G, also gave the set five stars, adding, ‘The Caraway Medium Storage Container is perfect to store leftovers. It is even better to be able to reheat in the same container. Clean-up of the container is effortless!’

I read through more than 1600 reviews on the site (which average 4.7/5), and the themes from hundreds of happy shoppers were that the set is beautiful, easy to clean, versatile, air-tight, keeps food fresh, and looks stunning.

After using the bundle myself for some months now, I can confirm this to be accurate. I would add that some of the shoppers say the air-tight lids can be a little tricky to get off, and as someone with reduced grip strength, I have also found this to be true.

The trick, I have learned, is to place it flat on the countertop and pull up, but not with increasing force. Just pull upwards and wait a few seconds, and the lid will suddenly release.

I have also used these in the oven and microwave (without the lids as instructed), and dishwasher (both elements) with no issue. But I do only use silicone food utensils, available at Amazon, on my set to avoid the ceramic coating being scratched by the metal over time.
