David and Victoria Beckham’s Living Room is a Lesson in Textural Harmony – It’s Bold, yet Intimately Grounded
The couple’s London townhouse balances hard stone with wood and tactile velvet, offering the perfect formula for softening a modern space
Between running her business and being a style icon, Victoria Beckham has curated a living room that somehow transcends design trends.
Inside the Holland Park townhouse she shares with David, marble, olive velvet, and cream timber bring the couple's signature style to life.
The Victorian property celebrates its history, from its high ceilings to its original wall moldings. Victoria balances these features with velvet seating and the cool finish of marble. Neutral wood paneling adds a further layer of texture, warming the cozy living room without detracting from its proportions.
As designers explain, her combination is worth borrowing for 2027, as richer materials and traditional features find their way back into living rooms.
Marble, even in a small edition like this vase from Lulu & Georgia, adds refinement. Meanwhile, velvet softens a space, and wall paneling adds depth to walls that might otherwise feel uninteresting. Together, they create a truly timeless room.

With its moss-green velvet upholstery and classic silhouette, this is a sofa that will stand the test of time. Pair it with dark cushions and timber accents to bring a little of Victoria Beckham's polished, understated style into your own living room.
I love how this marble vase brings personality to a material that can sometimes feel quite formal. Its curved shape gives it an unexpected, sculptural quality, while the marble's natural variations mean no two pieces look exactly alike. It's just as lovely on its own as it is with a few stems.
This espresso velvet cushion is an easy way to bring depth to a living room. I’d pair it with a green velvet sofa or armchair for a look that nods to Victoria's living room, where rich colors and classic pieces do the talking.
With its white-and-gray veining, this marble piece would look just as at home on a living room coffee table or console. Use it to keep coasters, matches, or other everyday essentials close at hand, while the natural stone adds more texture to your setup.
Moss green is an easy color to work into a living room, sitting comfortably alongside cream linen, warm browns, and marble. For a look inspired by Victoria Beckham's living room, pair this cushion with a deep green sofa and mix shades of the same color for a more considered finish.
If you love the warmth of wood paneling but aren't ready to commit, this bowl is an easy way to bring the material into your living room. Its natural grain adds depth and texture, and I'd pair it with ceramics or vintage finds that feel collected over time.
Wood paneling, in particular, is an effective way to bring character into a living room. 'We’re also seeing a return of wood paneling, with people incorporating timber walls of wood that give a slightly cocooning feel,' explains Chloe Barrow, the head of creative interiors at Laura James.
'While you may want to capture the nostalgic feel of your grandparents' living room, I’d actually recommend pairing the wooden panels alongside a contemporary sofa so that it doesn’t automatically feel like a time capsule.'

There is also no need to panel an entire room to get the effect. 'You don’t necessarily need to cover every wall; wood paneling is brilliant behind a sofa or around a fireplace, and pairing it with bold colors like chartreuse or burgundy can help it feel less retro,' Chloe adds.
'If you have a north-facing living room, I’d stick to paneling one wall and make sure you’ve got a floor lamp either side, as paneling can often take the majority of the light out of the room, especially during the long winter months.'
In David and Victoria’s living room, the contrast between its more imposing features and the pieces that make it feel personal is especially interesting.
Decorating with marble and timber gives the room a certain formality, but the green velvet and mix of furniture introduces softness. It feels curated (and not too carefully matched), which is often what gives a room its character.
