For sofas, Julia suggests 'understated shades such as cream, ivory, taupe or soft beige', with fabrics including velvet, linen or sherpa. Classic upholstery and a few vintage or antique-inspired pieces can add interest without making the room feel too styled.
There's certainly a sense of restraint throughout Jennifer’s living room. The furniture has room around it, the palette stays consistent, and the architecture really comes out to play.
