This versatile statement piece brings a sense of elegance to Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' living room
The Kansas City Chiefs star invested in a textured couch that's 'remained a popular choice for our living rooms for decades'
Following that Superbowl win, the world is inevitably looking at Patrick Mahomes. However, while the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is usually pictured on the field (or at the most talked-about afterparty of the year thus far), we're slightly more interested in his abode – or rather, the decorating quirks that make his house a home.
We've already noted how Patrick and Brittany Mahomes seem to have a thing for a neutral color palette (as seen in their kitchen and 'hushed' cream living space), but it seems their affection for these hues has also found its way to their living room sofa.
The couple opted for a sleek black leather piece – a choice that juxtaposes against the white-painted walls and reminds us just how powerful monochromic contrasts can look in a space. Inevitably, it's a look that hasn't gone unnoticed by some of the best couch experts in the industry, who praise their enterally fashionable choice.

'Known for elegance and versatility, leather sofas have remained a popular choice for our living rooms for decades,' Sofology's expert Gisela Lancaster explains.
Available in a range of colors and styles, soft leather sofas are a timeless option that suits both traditional and contemporary schemes alike. Prized for a sleek appearance, black leather can be particularly appealing for those looking to make a statement with their furniture, adding depth and drama to any space.'
Brittny and Patrick have interrupted their monochromic black-and-white scheme with textured red cushions – perhaps a nod to the Kansas City Chiefs jersey that we're seeing everywhere at the moment. However, whether the red has a deeper meaning or not, Gisela urges us to follow suit. 'Relaxed leather sofas feel particularly inviting when complemented with textured cushions and throws, perfect for lounging,' she adds.

Leather sofas aside, Patrick and Brittny have continued the neutral living room scheme with a large gray coffee table and a rug (for yet more texture). We can tap into the look with these Mahomes-inspired buys below.
