Colleen Hoover first saw this tool in an unlikely place – but it's a surprising way to elevate your kitchen storage
We were skeptical of the 'It Ends With Us' author's kitchen tool because of where she was inspired to buy it, but it's an affordable way to upgrade your frying setup
Kitchen inspiration can be found in the strangest of places. For Colleen Hoover's husband, it strikes when he's on TikTok. The It Ends With Us author shared a video of all the appliances he has bought for their home after scrolling on the video-based social media platform. We're in love with their clever olive oil spray bottle.
Though we don't think every suggestion on TikTok is a good one (our eyebrows are raised at the automatic cheese grater and the griddle that came chipped), this kitchen appliance seems like an easy way to upgrade your everyday cooking routine. The video shows Hoover pouring oil in incredibly uniform circles on a frying pan. Other functions allow a user to spray with the oil bottle.
These viral oil bottles will instantly elevate your kitchen storage and your cooking game. The pour setting makes it easier than a wider-necked bottle to pour in a slow, uniform line. The mist setting can be used on the pan for all over oil or applied directly to food for an even coating. Though it's a small thing, it's the small things that make the biggest difference.

Furthermore, these bottles are an easy hack for organizing your kitchen countertops. The bottles for your oil you get at the store can have distracting labels and look ratty, especially as the oil supply in them goes down. These chic oil bottles make it easy to leave your oil on the countertop year round, even when you're not actively using it.

If you're debating 'should I buy this viral item off TikTok?' there are a few considerations to take into account before clicking 'purchase.' First, think about what you already use every day. This olive oil sprayer is a great choice because it takes something almost everyone uses every day and makes it better. Second, know that if the price of something seems too good to be true, it probably is. For more expensive items, it's probably a good idea to rely on more reputable sources, like Homes & Gardens reviews, to choose what to bring into your home.
Kitchen hacks are just that, little things you can do that make your life easier. just because TikTok says it's good doesn't mean it is, but sometimes it really is.
