It's no secret that a kitchen isn't complete without a set of cabinets. From country-style storage to more minimalist designs, kitchen cabinet trends change constantly, but nothing beats the quiet impact (and practicality) of vertical storage.

Vertical cabinets are not only a minimalist kitchen essential, neatly hiding away pots, pans, and other cooking staples; they're the ultimate way to utilize dead storage space. While I'd spotted the style in plenty of enviable spaces, it was David and Victoria Beckham's kitchen that convinced me of their power.

The Beckhams' kitchen is undeniably chic. From the tall wooden cabinets to the marble countertops, it's a lesson in quiet luxury. While a total kitchen overhaul isn't always possible, it's worth knowing that there are plenty of other ways to achieve a sleek look.

I'm convinced that the cabinets are what make David and Victoria's modern organic kitchen so chic. Not only do they add to the sleek and seamless feel of the room, but they're also remarkably efficient. Fitted within the typically empty space around the ceiling, the cabinets extend as far as the eye can see.

'The Beckhams' kitchen is exceptionally well-designed, combining functionality with a warm, modern aesthetic,' explains James Mellan-Matulewicz, Creative Director and Interior Designer at Bobbi Beck.

'The floor-to-ceiling cabinetry creates a streamlined look, it’s a smart use of vertical space, maximising storage. Drawing the eye upwards creates the impression of a taller and more expansive room.'

Alongside the seamless kitchen cabinet details are other luxurious materials, such as the marble kitchen island.

'Clear worktops keep the space feeling calm, and the rich black marble surfaces add a luxurious contrast against the warm wood tones. Professional-grade appliances are positioned close to the main prep area, showing that the layout is designed for real cooking rather than just display. Under-cabinet task lighting provides bright, focused illumination.'

David and Victoria's kitchen is a masterclass in seamless design. Their vertical cabinetry is not only effortlessly chic, but it's also highly functional, utilizing every inch of typically 'dead space'. Although tall cabinets aren't always possible in more confined rooms, it proves that when you are blessed with space, nothing beats a design that fuses function with style.
