We have long sung our praises for the Lodge Cast Iron line, with our Kitchen editor, Lydia Hayman, calling their lodge skillet 'utilitarian yet incredibly durable,' in her review, going as far as to say that it 'could easily last a lifetime.'

Imagine our delight, then, when we discovered that Dolly Parton has introduced holiday pans to the brand's range, and there's a discounted price for Black Friday.

In terms of the pan's specs, Lydia explains that she prefers this one to nonstick options because of its versatility and even cooking abilities.

'I tested the Lodge Chef Collection skillet last month, and was blown away by how well it performed for the price,' she says. 'I got great browning on meatballs (nothing stuck to the pan), and I deglazed the fond into a delicious mushroom sauce. I even fried eggs in it without sticking, which was a surprise to me. The surface is quite rough, but it feels durable, and it's easy to season. I've been telling everyone to toss out their cheap non-stick pans and just get this instead. It will last decades of safe cookery.'

Below, we have rounded up some of our other favorite picks from Dolly's collaboration with the South Pittsburgh brand, including a delightful Butterfly Cake Pan, and a giftable Mini Guitar Skillet.
