Many of the most popular ingredients in interior design can be found right in your backyard. Natural wood has been sweeping the interior design space, creating a cozy, organic feel wherever it is used. Now, the Property Brothers, Drew and Johnathan Scott, want to make it more accessible.

The brothers are redefining what it means to decorate with wood in their latest collaboration with The Wood Veneer Hub. Drew and Johnathan worked with the premium wood wall panelling company to create their own set of fluted panels to bring natural texture, warmth, and modern character into any home.

The brothers explain: 'We’ve always believed that great design should be within reach. With WVH®, we’re bringing together innovation, natural materials, and practical details that make a home look good, feel good, and function for real life.'

Though the panels speak for themselves, they are an especially wise investment given that wooden fluting is one of the biggest interior design trends for 2026. The look has emerged as a simple way to add organic materials and beautiful textures to a room as we move away from stark minimalism. It looks especially striking in kitchens.

Stacey Cobley, designer at leading kitchen brand Harvey Jones, explains: 'If gorgeous color additions and stunning cabinetry aren’t enough, adding texture to a kitchen through fluted features are sure to create a simply stunning space with an interesting edge. From cabinetry and furniture to wall panelling and kitchen islands, these tactile details introduce a sense of depth to any space. Fluting’s subtle ridges catch the light beautifully, making it a versatile feature that works across both contemporary and classic interiors.

To incorporate the Drew and Johnathan-approved look into your home she recommends: 'Consider incorporating fluted finishes on full-height cabinetry, larder doors, or even as part of your kitchen island. smaller touches like fluted vases, lighting, or decorative accents can introduce the trend in a more understated way.'

Good design should be stylish but accessible, and Drew and Johnathan's new design checks both of those boxes. When it's in line with current trends, there's no reason not to indulge.
