Emily Henderson has launched a new collection with Rugs USA – perfect for adding her iconic farmhouse style to your home
'They're such an important element in the whole design of the space' – here are our top picks from her recent collaboration

Creating a space that looks as though it's been curated by a designer is no easy feat, but when these figures launch collections, it becomes instantly more accessible. The latest designer to save us from our decorating woes is Emily Henderson, the Secrets From a Stylist host, who has collaborated with Rugs USA (one of the best places to buy rugs) to create a series of colorways to suit every space.
'The power of a good rug is huge. I’ve designed so many rooms, and I often start with rugs because they're such an important element in the whole design of the space,' Emily says in the discussion of her Rugs USA collaboration.
Whether you're minimalist, maximalist or somewhere in between, Emily's advice rings true to every space. It's unsurprising, therefore, that her collection comprises a range of designs – from laid-back neutrals to statement blues and versatile motifs.

Despite its array of patterns and colors, all the rugs pay homage to Emily's unmistakable modern-vintage aesthetic (think the new modern farmhouse with a twist), so we can rest easy that Emily's influence will touch our homes, whichever rug we choose. With that in mind, here are our six favorite designs from the collection.
When Scandinavian chic meets Emily's rustic farmhouse style, we get this Jute Area Rug – designed to ground but simultaneously elevate our homes. We love its asymmetrical design and versatile blend of warm and cool tones.
Named after Emily's current hometown, The Portland Plaid Wool Rug is a paired-back twist on the traditional tartan pattern. Its cool tones and textural details are curated to upgrade almost every kind of space.
Mastering the balance between simple and sophisticated, this piece makes for a timeless foundation in any room. True to Emily's own style, there’s something warm and unique about this piece, that will impress through the seasons.
Exhibiting a high-low pile, textural details, and tasseled ends, this rug delivers on a designer-quality level. Emily designed this piece to ground every and any room, but we'd say it looks particularly impactful in a Scandi-style living room.
While each rug differs, one thing unites them all, and that's their ability to elevate any room, instantly. As Emily reminds us, design starts with the floor, and we can think of no better starting point.
