I've never seen a pan like Gwyneth Paltrow’s – her eternally on-trend tone has awakened a new appreciation for colored cookware

Gwyneth Paltrow's home is known for its soothing color palette and minimalist design scheme, but that's not to say that she doesn't have some playful accent pieces around.

I had to hit pause on the goop founder's latest installment of her Boyfriend Breakfast series on Instagram when I caught a flash of lime green. Turns out the pan she uses to make her frittata is none other than a Le Creuset favorite (the cast iron skillet) in an unexpected hue, and it's giving me some green kitchen ideas.

'I don't have this exact model, but I own a Le Creuset Alpine cast iron skillet and the signature Dutch oven, which look so bright and beautiful on my stovetop,' explains Homes & Gardens' kitchens editor, Lydia Hayman.

'I particularly like the darkened enamel interior on the skillets, which hides stains and discoloration, so they never look faded or old. Of course, cast iron is unparalleled for heat retention and even cooking. If you want to make a great frittata with crispy even base and no sticking (like Gwyneth's) there's no other way to go.'

We've talked a lot about how the green kitchen continues to endure, and I am pleased to see a unique take on this trend in the form of a vibrant, green pan. All too often, we opt for kitchen appliances and accessories that come in neutral hues (particularly ones of the cast iron variety), and playing with color through these culinary staples is a great way to infuse your space with some dopamine decor.

From a technical standpoint, the pan is also fantastic for its searing, sautéing, and stir-frying capabilities. Its enamel interior also ensures that no seasoning is required, and its design means it cooks food evenly.

While the pan ranges from $136 to $250, we found some budget-friendly, bright green kitchen accessories as part of Amazon's Prime Day sale above. Happy shopping, the way Gwyneth would intend.
