You may have ruled out pink as a serious decor shade in the past (I'm guilty, too), thinking it's more schoolgirl's bedroom than chic and luxurious.
But, Hillary Duff's bathroom (yes, it's her daughter's, but stay with us here), is a far cry from the Barbie and bubblegum hues that have given this shade a bad rep in the world of interiors – in fact, it has proved that pink room ideas can be beautifully sophisticated and timeless. Start with some tiles (like Wayfair's Lava Stone Subway Tiles) to recreate her look.
Anh Ly, architect-turned-designer and founder of design store, Mim Concept, explains: 'Pink in a bathroom can read as playful or outdated if it's too bright or literal, but when you treat it like a neutral with attitude, it becomes unexpectedly sophisticated. The key is choosing the right shades. Dusty rose, blush with gray undertones, or pinks with warm terracotta influence feel far more elevated than bubblegum.'

Anh adds: 'I love pairing these tones with natural materials like honed marble, limestone or warm wood; the softness of the pink balances the earthiness of the stone and prevents the space from feeling sugary. For metallics, brushed brass or satin bronze adds warmth and a subtle glamour that reads chic rather than kitschy.'
Below, I've rounded up a selection of pieces inspired by Hillary Duff's bathroom color ideas, from statement tiles to set the tone, to metallic and neutral accessories to keep the look pared back and elegant.

A bold bathroom mirror, like Hillary Duff's not only serves a practical purpose but also bounces the light and color around the room, while the subtle brushed brass frame adds instant luxe.
These stunning subway tiles feature a variation in pigment, which gives them a depth and the feeling of texture. In a subtle pastel hue, they will bring instant warmth to a typically cool space.
This statement piece has an organic silhouette that leans into the natural look, which helps to ground a pink bathroom scheme. It loosely mirrors the asymmetric look of Hillary Duff's bathroom sink.
Wheel thrown in Mexico, this beautifully tactile vase is the perfect color for a tonal pink bathroom and an ideal size for a bunch of fresh, scented florals to sit on a vanity, in the style of Hillary Duff.
This wall sconce is an exact match for the ones in Hillary Duff's bathroom, and they looks so chic flanking the statement mirror. The modern silhouette and white and gold combination give designer luxe.
Combining the look of marble and wood, this jewellery stand would fit perfectly in a pink bathroom like Hillary Duffs, bringing in those natural materials that help to ground an earthy pink scheme.
Interestingly, pale pink has emerged as an unexpected bathroom color trend for 2026, so Hillary Duff is definitely on to something with her clever color choice.
Lauren Sanchez, Charleston-based interior designer, Founder of Lauren Sanchez Design, says: 'Using shades of pink in a bathroom is a lovely way to introduce a warm, historically grounded neutral – creating a serene backdrop, while adding depth and warmth that contribute coziness to the room. Pinks play on natural light and can even make the room feel like it's softly glowing.'

If you want your bathroom to lean into a more natural and refined aesthetic, opt for brown or yellow-hued pinks, advises Anna Reinhard, Principal Designer of Portland-based Anna Reinhard Interiors. 'The key to making a pink bathroom look chic is to choose a muddier pink tone with less blue or purple (which will give it a more nursery vibe),' she suggests.
'Try Farrow and Ball's Scallop or Templeton Pink, with handmade, natural materials, marble accents, and unlacquered brass plumbing and lighting fixtures to give that feeling of luxe chicness.'
And when it comes to the best pink paints to try, Lauren says: 'Any shade of pink can be timeless when paired with unexpected contrasting colors. Finding that balance helps ground the airy pink color and keeps it from overwhelming the space.'
So there you have it, forget sugary-sweet pinks and think warm, enveloping hues with natural undertones, if you want to achieve a sophisticated pink bathroom scheme like Hillary Duff's.
